  1. I, Sir am no scope expert, but I will say that a buddy just picked up a Leupold VX-Freedom and it is surprisingly nice for a $200 scope. I think for close range there are a lot of solid options that aren't too expensive.
  2. HAHA! Yeah, at least you have the rings/bases... I'm glad you mentioned it or I would have never remembered I even had them.
  3. I currently have a Summit Titan. It’s like a recliner 20 feet up. I’m getting older so they are getting heavier now, but I still vote Summit over all of the others, which I have not tried! [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My son stopped over with a nice surprise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Oh, I know, I was only being a smart ass!
  6. I'm meeting the buyer at a local FFL later this week. If for some reason it falls through, you can be bumped to the top of the list if you take the Genny out of the deal!
  7. add two 0's and you may have a deal. Mrs C won't be happy though. This will do wonders for your awesome lawn!
  8. I think if you have plenty of does, it doesn't matter too much. If you don't, it could possibly impact buck movement during the rut. Maybe? I don't know, I personally don't think about it that deeply. If a nice doe walks by and I feel like taking it, I'll do it.
  9. Well, the dog and the wife are best friends so it would have to be a package deal!
  10. OK, I just re-read my original post, I guess I made it sound like I am selling off everything I own to buy food! LOL! Not the case at all. In all honesty we had some major projects and purchases planned for this year and decided to move forward with them even though this "crisis" is going on. I took a nasty pay cut for the remainder of the year, but still working, my wife was laid off for a few months but is now back at it. I had a new concrete driveway put in last week that ran $2k over the estimate and I'm feeling the pinch psychologically more than anything is all. It's been good excuse to move some stuff though.
  11. Nothing for sale right now. Unless you're looking for a dirt bike! I keep telling my wife her Yamaha has to go, I need more room! My next gun buy will be an O/U, as you know, so maybe something when that time comes back around. But I'm holding off for now.
  12. I was slow on the response! I AM working you know! LOL!
  13. I appreciate that, I don't mean to sound like I'm in a rough spot, I know MANY are right now and I don't want to diminish that in any way. Just cleaning house a bit.
  14. LOL! Yeah, I know. It's gotta go though! Just too much going on right now and way too many unused "toys" laying around.
  15. This is a painful one... I bought this in January and was really looking forward to hunting with it this fall, but due to some unforeseen events with this Covid mess, I'm unloading a lot of things I simply do not need. This is literally like brand new. I shot 20 rounds through it in February to break in the barrel per Browning's manual. I am selling for $575. It's a solid price and quite a discount from new and I have a box of ammo to throw in too. I'm located south of Buffalo, but will ship to your FFL if interested. https://www.browning.com/products/firearms/rifles/blr/current-production/blr-lightweight-with-pistol-grip.html

Exciting Saturday Night watching concrete dry. Gonna be a rough morning... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. One of the first commentaries I saw on this... If you're a gun owner and don't follow this guy, you should be.
  18. The initial videos that were online and TV clearly showed the smashed gate.
  19. I live in a neighborhood that sits behind a golf course, part of the neighborhood is a private condo development which borders a section of the golf club - It is private, there are no gates, but there are signs. When my kids where small and would ride their bikes through there, they were told to leave. After a few times cutting through to the next road and not listening to the neighbors, a police officer showed up at my door. He told me it was private property and a private road, "the kids are trespassing". They have to stay off that street or there would be charges. I of course made sure they followed the rules. That being said, f any one of US were to open that gate in the McClosky's neighborhood just to take a meaningless peaceful walk and were told to leave, then didn't, we would be arrested on the spot. If we threatened them and they pulled a gun, WE would be arrested on the spot. Period. Those BLM folks did not belong there, they were breaking the law and the only reasons THEY weren't arrested are 100% political. It doesn't matter if they initially smashed down the gate to get in, or if it happened as the crowd grew, they were trespassing. In today's climate, If I saw that crowd outside my house I would make damn sure I was ready for anything. But...I think we all learned a lesson from this, stay inside, and don't show force until you absolutely need to. Those people may have walked right on by to where ever they were going.
  20. Stopped at Armor Inn in Orchard Park for dinner today. Our first time eating in since all of this nonsense started. Cuban quesadilla... highly recommended! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cool pics, looks like a fun place to ride! I grew up outside of Pittsburgh, we used to catch these guys all the time as kids while playing in the woods of Monroeville PA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Been there. Actually still there with my oldest. Best of luck and a nice looking truck for sure! Not to derail but my youngest sent me this pic this morning. An old guy blew a stop sign. A few minutes ago he told me they gave him a new f150 for a rental. He said “Dad, this thing is really nice! I may be switching teams!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That is a nice truck! I'm planning on moving to Ford for my next truck. I do have to ask. Why in the world did you lease with that kind of a trade equity? $13K down and the 0% financing Ford is offering is a no brainer? 0% is free money.
