MORE INFO PLEASE!

We have a nice set up this year, If one of us shoots one while hunting alone, we have a rope over a large branch near where we park that we can clip to an ATV to hoist it, then back the truck under it. Couldn't be simpler. Even better, we did this with the two does we took this year. We pulled them out of the woods intact, no field dressing. Hoisted them up, skinned them and quartered them, put the meat in coolers and disposed of the carcasses. We let the quarters, back straps, tenderloins and neck meat sit on ice for 48 hours then butchered them. As long as its not pouring rain or bitter cold, I don't think I will bring a whole deer home ever again.

I used to use a hitch hauler years ago. I always wrapped a tarp around the carcass, especially if driving in winter weather. God knows what chemicals they are spreading and spraying on the roads these days to prevent icing.

Good call in my mind, Butera's over Coyote any day of the week for sure! The food at Coyote isn't so great, but I like the place and always want to give it one more chance...

Now that I am reading this I do remember her giving me 3 different prescriptions to try, it took me a few weeks to dial in what worked best for me. I agree with what you are saying, far distance for me, like over 200 yards was blurry at first but I adjusted to it and all is good. Very close up, readers are still better, even reading on the phone can be challenging at times, but for the most part everything in between is 95% of life so all is good. If I’m fletching arrow for example, I still want the readers. But for shooting and hunting I would never go back to glasses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Please let us know how you make out. I am curious if others have the same success as I have had with these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great vehicles! I had a first and second gen GC, I loved those Jeeps. Both went well over 200k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

9K - Fawns seem to be on their own. Young bucks are bumping heads, I watched two button bucks really pushing each other around the other morning, I have never seen that before. Watched a 4pt and spike casually poking around a doe. She ignored them completely. Scrapes are opening up, seeing more rubs.

I have been bowhunting since 1978 and never took an archery course. When I moved to NY from PA in '87 I simply showed my PA tags and was able to get NY tags. I believe it is still the same, if you have a previous archery license from NY or any other state, you will not need to take a course.

LIVE From The Woods 2019 - Lets hear stories and see some pictures!

I had a 4pt then later a spike walk by me Sunday morning, at about 40 yards I grunted, they turned and walked right past again. I love messing with the 1 1/2 year olds. Also bleated at a doe that was 50 yards out, she immediately bolted in like a freight train! Then looked right at me and took off. -
Happy Birthday!

Did anyone else mount their quiver with the arrows pointing down?
Don_C replied to BowmanMike's topic in Bow Hunting
The first thing I do when in the stand is take the quiver off and hang it. -
