Yes, the NG was called in to dig out roads.
-
So I'm looking out my office window in Amherst and it doesn't seem to be coming down like they are saying. I just heard a report calling it "heavy snow"... yeah, maybe in Atlanta. I'm wondering if it's worth heading home early or not. Anyone in the SouthTowns with a report? Not in the mood for a two hour drive home tonight...
-
I shot this buck one hour before that storm started. It took me three hours to get home, just in the nick of time.
-
Yeah I know we are pretty close. That was a hell of a week. If you remember it came in two waves with a nice day in between. First pic was evening of the 18th, second was the 19th digging out from round one. the last pic is on the 20th... round two.
-
Yep. My buddy came with his plow when it first started to stack up on the 18th, even then it was too heavy and deep for him to move much of it. 5 days later I took this from my living room window. Stuck inside for 5 days.

Smoking deal on Summit stands on Amazon
Don_C replied to Don_C's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Same deal when I got the Titan last week. It was at the sale price for a day or two. Then back up to $350. I just kept checking every few days until it was back at the sale price and bought it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Smoking deal on Summit stands on Amazon

Yep, those are great. The older I get the easier I want things to be so I'm going to pick up this Sherpa Cart kit for the Titan and wheel the stand into the woods with all of my gear strapped to it. The land I hunt now has very easy access so I think this is going to be a really nice option for me. -

Haha! I've used summits for years and years, none of them really pack all that well in my opinion but they are solid and comfy. I just picked up a Titan, should be arriving today actually. They're easy to use, just wear a harness. -
I'm just glad it was brought up before someone bought it and realized there was a problem. Now I know to inform anyone interested. Who'd a thought?....
-
Thanks for questioning it! I honestly had no idea so I called the dealer where we bought it.
-
I just want to be clear on that so as not to mislead someone who needs a shorter draw length and finds out it is going to cost them a LOT more to shorten it. Hoyt... go figure.
-
Not only do you have to change the string and cable on this bow to swap the cams, but it is recommended to swap the limbs as well according to my Hoyt dealer. It's got the #3 cams... 28-30"
-
Lot of action there, everyone seems to be waiting for tax returns before pulling the trigger though. It's a great bow, priced right, it will sell, just a matter of time. Fortunately I'm in no hurry.
-
Honestly not sure. I believe you have to swap cable/string with the cam change though. I would call a local shop and ask, my local pro shop seems to have a lot of parts on hand and is really reasonable when I have work done, others may not be.

My "new" Bowtech is actually "new to me", last year I shot all of the new bows and decided on the one I wanted. Once this year's models came out I found what I wanted for exactly half the cost of new last year. I didn't "need" a bow so I had time to wait and it payed off.

MacBook Pro hands down. I have one and an iMac, I can't imagine working on a windows based computer.

Maybe its the vodka, but this is my favorite post EVER. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Im not so sure about that. I bought a crossbow in October, took it out once, shot a deer with it. No where near as exciting as bowhunting for me. I just got a new Bowtech last week and cant wait for October 1st. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
