No, not electric ones. I always thought they were pretty slick myself, but I could see them being a PITA.

You're not throwing thousands of dollars of ski equipment in the bed of a truck, I wouldn't anyway. And that's not lifted, I'm looking at getting a new F250, that looks no different than what I've been looking at.

Damn Dude! There is no end to your creativity. Can’t wait to see it completed. Are you selling any of your pieces? Im interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gas Prices are much lower in other states. Why?
Don_C replied to Rattler's topic in General Chit Chat
I agree 100%! i fill up my truck and wife’s Jeep at Catt Res. and save $50 a week compared to buying gas in Hamburg. The 15 minute drive is worth it to me, and honestly, I swear I get better MPG with rez gas than name brand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Cabela’s MT050 are great. 2nd season with them, no complaints, super warm and completely waterproof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I have the Ariens Deluxe 28 SHO. Bought it last winter. Its by far the best snow thrower I have had, I have owned Toro, Craftsman, MTD and Troy Built, I live south of Buffalo, trust me, we blow more snow here in one winter than most do in a lifetime, 90% of my neighbors (and now me) have Ariens machines for a reason. Get the heated grips, you wont regret it.

We bought her a 2018 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in July. Unlike her previous jeeps this one did not have heated seats, she hasn't complained or said a word about it now that it's cold, but I know how much she loved them in her other vehicles so she's getting that this year, scheduled the install at the dealer for the day after Christmas. I actually just finished making the the "card" I'm going to put in a big box for her. A bunch of other "Jeep" stuff and some small things too. This is our 36th Christmas together, we still try to keep it fun.

So awesome on every level! That's one heck of a nice rifle too!

Thanks again everyone. It was quite an emotional rollercoaster of a day for me, it was also the anniversary of my father's passing and is still difficult to get through. But man did the mood change when the kids walked through the door with THAT shocker!

I have to say thank you to all of you. We don’t know each other personally, I have only met one member, but the response to this post really says something about our group. This has been a very exciting and emotional evening for us and the emails that are flying in from HuntingNY are big part of it. Thank you all for being a part of this amazing event in our family. Already thinking about setting up a college fund, lifetime license, of course he/she is going to need a shotgun and a 4wheeler, a fishing rod, baseball glove, dirt bike, (new dirt bike for Gramps), skateboard, football, puppy... so much to do! Going to have to change my screen name too... Grampy, any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LOL! Yeah, I agree. I pulled mine last weekend, there was a foot of snow on and around it so that was fun. I was tripping and falling over buried logs and branches and ended up soaking wet from sweat and melting snow. I didn't even attempt to put it in the bag, I bunched it up, put a bungee on it and put it in my Jet Sled. Once I got home I opened it in the garage to dry off before putting it in the bag. It took a few minutes, but it went in.

PA Girth Chart vs Live Weight Comparison
Don_C replied to Steuben Jerry's topic in General Chit Chat
OK...not being a jerk, but can’t you simply count them when you’re done????? I just don’t get any of this. Why use some obscure way of “estimating” when it so dam easy to know exactly what you are really dealing with? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Maybe not... one of my boys is an engineer at Tesla, he’s made all kids of cool things on the CNC machines there! Let me know when you want to try it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PA Girth Chart vs Live Weight Comparison

I must be missing something with all of this chest girth nonsense... I saw a pic of Wolc with a hanging buck recently, is a $25 scale on that hook just too much trouble? I just don’t get it, not being a dick, but if I were that concerned with what my deer weighed I would have a scale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
A girl that used to work for me would pay some crazy amount of money every week at a "Dog Health Food Store" to buy frozen ground venison for her tiny little Yorki. She fed it to her raw. Bravo was the brand and they still sell it. Seems crazy to me, I agree with TF's wife, my Blue Weimaraner-couch potato is no wild animal. I have no problem giving him cooked venison though and of course he loves it.

I agree and I don't think it is a bad thing either. For me, another BIG difference is the lack of movement needed to get on target compared to the vertical bow. I shot my first deer with a crossbow this year, It was kind of anti-climactic in some ways. I did not get the rush of excitement like I do with the bow. All of the heart pounding nervousness I experience when trying to stand, position myself and draw back on a deer, in complete silence and without detection is the real rush, for me anyway. When a buck abruptly swings his head to look up from 15 yards away as you are about to draw, you freeze, thinking he can surely hear your heart beating. You lock up and wait an eternity for him to look away for a split second so you can draw. That's what I love about it. When that doe looked up at me with the crossbow, I just pulled the trigger. Done. It is flat out easier in many ways, but that is not a bad thing either. I'll still use the X-Bow, but I'm already looking at a new Hoyt for next season!

I don't know, seems like they would, it was something I read online is all.
-
Not sure what that means.
-
Yes and they don't pay anywhere near the taxes we already pay to our state. NYS takes enough of my money and misuses it already.
-
Ditto... Very sorry.
-
I fail to understand why people want to change things from the way they are now and make them even more of a mess and more complicated... and a public land access fee in NYS?????? dear lord man...

I'm pretty sure a bolt by definition does not have fletching... saw this on a crossbow site "modern crossbows do not shoot bolts anymore; instead they use arrows like the conventional bow. Crossbow arrows may have the same appearance and construction as the longbow archery arrows, but the length is shorter because of the power stroke."
