  1. Yeah, OK but how's the air power generated in a CO2 container or pump action or what?
  2. ML with Air? I don't get it, this not a pump airgun or maybe co2? Looks more like a lucky shot.....but yes interesting
  3. I can offer Marlin XL7 in 30-06 or GSG-5 semiauto in .22lr (hoot to shoot) I would consider slightly used 6.8 upper....Let me know if you want to part with your second or third 6.8 SPC upper :-) Let me know, Thanks
  4. WOW, nice work!!! Do you take orders yet? :-)
  5. Airgun with the speed greater than 600 fps is considered a firearm by DEC hence all rules applies. I think they changed that couple years ago. With the new air rifles going with speeds of 1200 fps it ain't a joke anymore.....
  6. Not bad bro, not bad, where about you are trapping? Public or private land?
  7. The benefits of living in the tri-state area is that you have NJ bow in Jan and CT bow starts in Sept. :-) Not a lot of time left for fishing... :-)
  8. Same here, haven't seen a rabbit in a while, last time it was last summer while he munching on something on the front lawn.....do you have lots of yotes and foxes in your area? That could be the explanation....I saw a few last season on some state land in Northern Dutchess, nothing really this year.
  9. Yeah, and let us know I would like to go wild bacon hunting :-)
  10. Made in Latvia that's way they so cheap, hmm I guess there is at least one reason to try them out :-)
  11. I don't mean to spoil your profound and thoughtful conversation but I can't stop thinking about a journalist asking a Marine sniper what did he feel after killing an enemy and the Grunt goes: "...a recoil..." LOL
  12. WOW, that was a nice buck too....
  13. We have a bird feeders out back and the treerats are "sharing" it with the birds, I don't think it is illegal, are they doing any damage to your property? Also, at the club we feed deer during a harsh winter where there is no food to be found, I don't think this is wrong either. Call your local DEC guy and ask...
  14. Well placed shot, congrats! Where in NY are you guys? Taking clients for a hunt as well?
  15. If you just starting, pick something easier to begin with like coons, coyotes are way smarter than people think....in my area they are mostly nocturnal so if you can afford nightvision scope go for it it will make your life easier otherwise you will drag big heavy lights and all what comes with it. Most importantly scout, scout, scout, you can't shoot them if they are not there :-) AR in 5.56/.223 is a good choice, you have a quick follow up shot in case you miss the first one. Don't get discouraged if you see nothing and be prepared this is very addictive :-)
  16. I haven't seen a wabbit there, I would try some areas more north, Lafayetville has some fur and nice area to walk and flush them out
  17. I have FX3 they work pretty good, you can also purchase additional sounds from them and adjust it for your region, money well spent IMHO. One word of advice: make sure it is secured when placed, I had an Owl trying to lift it on one of my stands at night, it was fun to see her struggle with it but if it wasn't secured I would lose it that night.
  18. Basic firearm control - failed, another example of "I'm doing this for 30 years, I know what I'm doing..." syndrome, hope the kid will be alright...and how that gun "just fired" by itself, where was is trigger finger? This blows...

    cranberry mtn.

Cranberry is very popular among small game hunters and dog walkers, you need to pick your hours, I go there at night sometimes or really early this way you can have your peace and get some hunting done, good pheasant area and I hear yotes all over the place. I haven't been successful there yet but I will keep trying. It is a nice area just too stressed, also try Great Swamp on the other side of rt 22, similar story, just pick your time and you should be good to go....
  20. Where about in Westchester?
