  1. Here’s a few pics from my stand
  2. Brand new never used Alpha Dog collar and GPS Hand unit. Paid $800 asking $650
  3. AT what's your availability during the week typically? I'm a full time guide as Non Typical has mentioned and I'm always looking for a hard working helper on trips. I'd teach you as much as you're willing to learn. Season is coming to a close here but food for thought for next season
  4. Hey sorry for the late response, as a guide myself don't get much time to get on the computer. Trip was great. Definitely no shortage of deer out there. The three of us in my group had opportunities to harvest a shooter but opted to hold out for something bigger. We put our own standards on, we were looking for a 150 or better. Plenty of 130 class deer to choose from. The gun hunters that came after us really put some big bucks down. I may try for a September velvet hunt next year but if not I'll do another pre rut hunt. I may go to Ohio next year but it's hard for me to turn down that Kentucky trip.
  5. You get puddle and Diver ducks at Hubbard. It really doesn't get that crowded like Southaven does.
  6. From the pic though there really isn't a lot of work if your a painting contractor. The way I see is 1 man day for power washing even if it only took a few hours which it would. And 2 man days to stain the deck. Material I'd say no more than 4 gallons of stain at $50 per gal (homeowner prices).
  7. Could be the poundage you shoot that's giving you the problem with those heads
  8. Do yourself a favor also, ask each contractor how they'll be applying the decking stain. The right job is to have it applied by brush. It's the only way to work the stain into the wood. If it's roller applied eventually the deck will peel, most likely during the winter.
  9. I'm going to Whitetail Crossing in Springfield,KY end of October. They run a top notch camp and it's actually not a terrible drive from Long Island
  10. If your using a legit company that's paying there guys on the books I'd say 1200-1500 range. Cash guys I'd say half that. Material you need is no more than $200 and the rest is gonna be labor
  11. Just heard from him and asked me to let you know he didn't have any emails. Said you can call or text him if you'd like. 941-952-8175
  12. I just got off the phone with him, I have some guys that are interested in the DIY hunts. I told him you may be reaching out also he's looking forward to talking with you
  13. Well I know there's some openings when I'm there. I like that week when there cruising and searching more than when there chasing in full rut. I used to hunt Illinois during the rut and they'd be chasing all over but it was hard to hunt them
  14. What week were you looking to go? Warning, it is addicting going
  15. That's great. when you talk to him you can mention Stephen from Elite Long Island Outfitter recommended him.
  16. I seen a good amount of deer especially considering the time I went. Last trip, I was there for Columbus Day weekend as one of the guys that came with me was a school teacher. The weather was still warm yet one guy wounded one, I passed and seen a bunch of deer and the third guy seen a load of deer but just not what he was looking for. So basically we were into deer everyday
  17. Yes just seem that. I'm going on 10/28 so guess they'll be sticking with the compound
  18. Never realized they had a xbow season. Thanks. If it coincides with when I'm there I'm pretty sure one of the guys coming would rather bring that
  19. I like to drive there. It allows me to bring an extra bow,big coolers and anything else I can cram in my truck. The ride really isn't bad, it was 12 hours. If you wanted to fly it's only a 2.5 hour flight and they'll pick you up at the airport. I hunted there 2 years ago and seen some great bucks. I passed on a mid 150 as I was looking for something bigger than I have already. Some people think I'm crazy but I did the same in Saskatchewan. My mindset was Booner or nothing. Best of all being in camp was like being upstate with the guys, just a good group of guys.
  20. I use Bryan Dirr of Whitetail Crossing in Springfield ,KY. Runs a top notch camp. I've been there before and can't wait to go back. Also love the week that I'm going
  21. I have a 2016 Obsession Defcon 6 and also have a Bowtech 360 as a backup
  22. If your open to other places I have a place in Kentucky I'm going back to. Not sure if your bow or gun hunting but this place is top notch. I'll be going back October 28th for a 5 day archery hunt.
