    I always look at the nose. If it looks long you should be good. Short noses equal small deer.

    Just watched a deer eat some mushrooms. Must be heading to one of those crazy parties tonight. First time I have seen them eat shrooms.

    I find that if I decide to shoot and say man that's close to that tree I hit the tree 90 percent of the time. I think you actually focus on what you don't want to hit so you hit it!!. Like psyching yourself out before you even go for the shot.

    On this note, I find that an old flashlight light (non led) works better. Also a duller led works better than the super bright ones. The Super bright ones seem to wash the smaller dots of blood out. IMHO!!

    There is a town called pine bush, I think thats down in the southern county's. Somewhere by Newburgh I think. Then there is the pine bush preserve and that is in albany county.

    Saw a bunch. Everytime a deer came close the wind would switch then the stomping and running would start. Good to see some deer.

    Got in just in time to get soaked!! Saw 2 on the way in though. Hopefully that means they will be moving tonight.

    Yes you are correct but I think in today's culture, its alot easier to by it and dump it than to plant it.

    Coyote just went through. His coat looked like a calico cat. Would have made a good taxidermist project.

    Some turkeys first thing but its slow. Can only get better as the days go by!

    Missed a chip shot at a nice tom tonight. Add insult to injury i lost the arrow too. A gift to the hunting gods i guess. Here's to tomorrow.
