  1. Ehh.....just enough going on to be stuck here. Trust me, I'd rather even be in Buffalo at the moment to tie up a few projects there and have some fun fishing.
  2. Getting your monies worth out of that boat this year. Camera getting a workout too! Good stuff,
  3. And that would be different from any other day around your place how? Its raining? And yaaa......Jimmie Johnson had pit issues and lost today; tooo slow for tires.Ha Ha All is right in the world!
  4. Where's your NY pride as she represented "us"? A New Yorker becomes President. LOL
  5. Problem as I see it..... There are just tooooo many gun and caliber combinations I'd like to hunt with. LOL I want a lever action 44 to play around with for a short range gun at some point. At ranges talked about here it'd be just fine.
  6. Its the internet.... I come here for entertainment; theres always an ignore feature on boards for those who do not share in my outlook.
  7. Shhhhhh..... Listen...... I hear 2 guys talking out the window. Anyone know what a FEMA death camp is? Is it like a cool beach resort? I hope they have a roller coaster, but with good safety bars. That'd be awesome. No thanks on the Google....I listen to Coast to Coast and get plenty of solid information there;<)
  8. Dang.....never thought of that! I didn't know this til' today; but the wife of that dude running for NYC mayor who likes to show his junk on the net; Hillary has called her a second daughter and was the aide to go through to get face time with ol' Hil. Maybe she can be VP.
  9. Dammit Lawdwaz.... Now you went and tipped them to what guns I own....... errrrrr.....I mean owned. Before the accident. Where they all fell in the river. Is that a dude all dressed in black out there in the woods? Maybe he's one of those nice campers lost from the park or needs some firewood. Wonder what that Humvee gets for gas mileage hes got......
  10. OMG!!!! I need HELP! I clicked on that link before I wrapped my PC and put my tinfoil hat on..... I have been targeted for extermination now. How about a freakin' warning next time!!!! Hey....why is that red dot following me around the room?
  11. Congrats.....always a lot of work to get a new chapter of anything off the ground. Nice job.
  12. When Hillary is our next president, she'll get to do whatever she wants.
  13. I interupted one hunt to go take advantage of another for a good once in a lifetime type deal; all with in the context of the original outfitter who had me in country and able to make a snap decision. Was a blast and worth rearranging airline and backhome schedual to add days and such (backhome was easy, called the vet and said hang onto the dog for another week.LOL). Most of the time it comes down to airfare savings as close up tickets can blow a budget pretty quick. If you get one and find yourself in a camp of other hunters, you'd be wise not to brag up what you paid among hunters who paid full fare. I know more than a few guides and that'll make for some bad blood in camp right quick. YMMV.
  14. Wow, you must be old as dirt to make that reference from someone "upstate". LOL
  15. Shepards pie I have had has been really good. But the meat has been more like pulled than ground.......and not any offal mixed in. Its been a mix of mutten and beef. I've seen some that look "runny" and gray; not very appetizing There was a Brit couple who owned a little place downstate here in a small town that did awesome authentic fish and chips served in newspaper and they had a shepards pie lunch special that was good. Closed up and started a Brit import food shop closer to the city. Used to buy Aero candy bars by the case from them. YUM!
  16. Best friend in elementary school/middle school, who lived next door, was English.......so I have a basic understanding of the rules as he and his dad would set up wickets and I would play. They had a bunch of Brit nationals show up from the area to make up teams.....god aweful English food they'd make. uggg. Been to 2 real rugby games also in South Africa.......holy crap, those guys are NUTS! If I really picked...... Mikes hard lemonade.....Formula 1......in person a hockey game.....on tv March Madness.
  17. A fine cognac, Formula 1, and a few ends of cricket......its how I roll. Teds been shootin' arrows off his guitar strings since the Amboy Dukes days. Been to a few fine Ted concerts, and a few that were so-so. Honest I don't really follow since Scream Dreams....and what was that BS with Styx members; embarrassing. More of a Double Live Gonzo fan. He did have the good sense to give Meatloaf the boot. Don't care about his political jibberish....I ignore it as to not tarnish some memories of my youth.
  18. Whats more fun then talking guns? Well other than killing stuff with them. So not only is there no such thing as too much gun. There is no such thing as too many! 30.06 ? What is Shoemaker your goto guru now. LOL Have you gone all vanilla on me? BORING. I gotta go see if my paint is drying in this humidity........
  19. Woodstock Rd is a couple miles North of the where 82 comes into Rt 44 (Troop K barracks) Billings is more like 82 and 55 to the south.
  20. Man up ya big gurl..... I put a BUNCH of 180 and 200 gr. down range in my 300RUM 26" barrel in the Blaser at 7 and a some ounces (4 maybe). Killed a pile of stuff with it too; should not have sold it, Biebs made me a good offer.LOL Just really started with that 300 WBY barrel.....and I don't like that Zeiss scope, thats gotta go. Removable aftermarket break for that one, I like it. I need some cool weather now. Had a chance to shoot 500 yds with it and it has promise for sure.
  21. He he he......yaa, and then tell them what the weight of that gun is. LOL Even righty shooting your lefty gun,I rather liked that short chamber;<) (I do rather like his signature line he uses)
  22. I'll stand behind my comment. What bullet, at what speed(including distance), at what weight, and what angle......conversley whats in the 45-70 at what speed etc. A friend from Colorado just shot an Impala (about the size of a mature doe here) with a 500NE double a few weeks ago. Hard CEB bullet clean in one side of ribs clean out the off side ribs; no drama.....510 grains at 2150+/- fps....Maybe a tad more from his gun; long barrels. Bullet choice(including all parameters) and good shot placement trumps all IF the shooter can do their part handling the gun. You can't seperate one part of my quote from the other.
  23. I've shot some Francolin....damn good eating.....didn't know they had them there. I'd like to chase an Axis given the chance. Nice flat skin with that spotted coat would look good.
