Good weekend! Had a nice 8 pt cross the road as I was pulling out of my driveway Friday night he was in no hurry and could care less about anything. Saturday I woke up late and decided to cut down a tree and cleanup deadfall around the cabin. Seems like I could do this all day everyday! Went on a scouting trip Saturday late morning and caught movement and another nice 8 point walking around without a care in the world. Saturday night I had what i think was another 8 come in right before dark but wouldn’t come close. Finally after sitting there as he just munched on some leaves till about 715 I threw a stick to spook him . Seen lots of does and boy there are some tiny fawns around my way!

Cabelas in Cheektowaga has lots of 30-06 308 270 and 300. No shot gun rounds though

For me it’s around the the first week of November but that’s at my cabin in East Otto. The property in Pendleton I hunt all the time. They are more citified up there!

My land borders state land so I run into all sorts of amazing human beings. Like when a guy was sitting in my tree stand on my property and told me it’s public land and a public tree stand so I asked him then are those public posted signs ? He offered to shoot me if I didn’t leave his spot. Called police then he got out of my stand and took off running.

I have read a couple stories of hawks and eagles being killed by eating poisoned rats and mice. When the mice are poisoned they do tend to go outside in search of water. The poison dries out their insides and kills them.

I know it’s a bit of a hike for you but s&s taxidermy in Springville ny has lots of ammo .

I’m really surprised that I only seen one car on state land today. With the great weather I would’ve bet differently!

Great morning!!!!! Seen 22 deer . Had several under 10 yards including a young 8. I never lifted the bow off the hook.
