There on the commodities vendor list under Livingston county (all lists are alphabetical by county). Here is a little info on these lists if you don't have the time to scrutinize them. - seed manufacturers (these people grow, harvest, clean and sell seed) although they may sell other supplies. - fertilizer manufacturers (again they manufacture fertilizer but also quite likely sell other supplies). - lime manufacturers (you guessed it same as the first two) - commodities suppliers are a little more confusing. The best description for these locations is old Agways or small feed stores. They don't make any of there own product but sell agricultural supplies like seed, fertilizer and lime (quite often all three and then some). As i already stated they are listed by county with the counties being in alphabetical order. Address, phone number and GPS points are listed if anyone needs any help finding them. The column that says products is explained by the key at the top of the sheet. S stands for Seed, F stands for Fertilizer etc. etc.

Preffered is a great company. They will stand behined what they sell. The dont get into Corn or Beans but you should be able to get any legums or food plot mixtures you want. They will do a custom mix and i am sure if you want to order bulk they would work with you, most any seed supplier would. Talk to your local feed, seed, fertilizer plant etc. etc. Alot of NY ag supply distributors get seed from Preffered. I am sure it would not be an issue to get a bulk order of turnip, radish etc. sent to one of those locations for local pickup. http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/9942-western-central-ny-seed-fertilizer-and-lime-distributor-lists/ Above is a link to a thread which i just bumped back to the top of the forum.

So here i sit in the middle of Pittsburgh PA at my sister in laws. This morning we took the kids to the Pittsburgh Zoo which is about two miles from here. Driving down the road that cuts through the zoo i spot two tom's going at it just the other side of the chain link fence (not in the zoo). Looked more like the one was getting a whooping and he was just trying to find his way through the fence before the other killed him. We pull around into the parking lot and i can clearly see these two birds up against the fence at the top of the hill running back and forth. I sit there and watch them as we are getting the kids loaded up and we make our way into the zoo entrance. Once we are in we take the escelator up the hill and i spot a couple hens on the way up. Once at the top of the hill i make my way over to the chain link fence about 50 yards from where i saw the birds. I see movement so i neal down with my 10 month old on my back and my three daughters standing next to me and start mouth yelping. The bird starts to close the gap and i start scratching the leaves and he quickens the pace. Then i realize he found his hole in the fence and is now on the other side from me. He comes in looking again for a place to get through the fence but there is none so he keeps strutting and gets close enough that i can hear / see him spitting and drumming. Finally he gets about 7-8 yards away and i do my best gobble (which i am sure sounded like a bird that had been shot) and he shock gobbles a couple times. To top it off a kid and his girl friend come walking down the sidewalk on the birds side of the fence and look at me through the fence and say "is he supposed to be in the zoo? did he escape?" The whole time there were people coming up the escleator and getting off watching me and the kids. I got some pretty funny looks when i walked back over to the main entrance area. I think im going shed hunting tommorow. Im feeling lucky.

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p510.pdf 10% on fishing rods, reels, tackle, gaffs, guns, etc. etc. etc. 11% for bows but hey we get an exemption for wooden arrows. WTF (Page 31-32) Alright i might of jumped the gun on this one. As usual don't believe everything you see. http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/medicaldevice.asp I would dig some more but i got to get up in 4 hours. DISCLAIMER: My statement above in no way implies my support for Barry - get him out and repeal Obamacare.

NO!! An abortion is not selfless - giving your life for another is selfless. There is no greater LOVE than to lay down ones life for another. Yes it takes a great toll on a woman who has an abortion. I would argue that the abortion would take a far greater toll on the woman than having the baby and giving it up for adoption. The suicide rate, drug use, depression rates for women who have abortions are far higher than women who bring the children into the world. I will concede that inconvenience is a poor choice of words SACRIFICE is what i should be using. And your point being? Knowing that you will be forgiven for whatever you do is not an excuse to do something. As for me being a hypocrite do you know me or what i do in my house? Do you know my religious beliefs or how I raise my children? Here is a short breakdown of my "Pro-life beliefes" - Catholic (convert) - 4 children - We have never had an abortion - We don't use birth control - and we give a SUBSTANTIAL amount of our income to pro life organizations who minister to abortion victims. And when i say victims i mean the children who survive and helping mothers to recover from what they are put through. As for morals - there are such things as moral absolutes and they are not negotiable.
-
So your going to knock there religious beliefs because they are not perfect? I would commend them for having the fortitude to make the right decision. No one on this earth is perfect even though we are called to try and attain perfection. Our entire society is based on the belief that pain or sacrifice has no value. That if its hard or its something you don't want to do it means its wrong. Its all about ME, Abortion, child rearing, work - just take the easy way out. Pride and greed are taking us down a very dark path.
-
It amazes me how little value so many of you place on human life. Life begins at conception. If you don't want a kid abstain. Cutting a child limb from limb and sucking them out a tube so you don't have a inconvenience is not something i am willing to negotiate on. Try asking a abortion survivor (yes there are children who survive the procedure) how they feel about the subject.

As gun owners we need to engage the non owners or Anti gun groups in more discussion. The first step is educating yourself. I have gotten into it a couple times with co-workers but i keep coming out on top. Mainly because i can spew facts and data out for which they have no reply. Know the crimes that are being pointed to as the reason for the "need" for these laws and then dismiss some of the rumors and hype around them. Then be ready with facts about why it wont work, Chicago, DC, Great Britain etc. etc. http://www.justfacts.com/guncontrol.asp This site will keep you busy. Read it and know it. One last thing - know the constitution.

Here is my two cents. I have 4 generations of teachers in my family (8 teachers in all ranging from a PHD college professor to a shop class teacher in three separate states). From my great grandmother down to my wife (she does not currently teach). I don't know that its a issue with any one particular thing. My great grandmother had a class of 50 and never had issues with outbursts or obedience my wife routinely had issues from A-Z while teaching. Its a reflection of society. We don't VALUE education as a society. That is reflected in parenting and which kids "show up" mentally. Some will say we do value education and point to college and the number of grads. But college is just as much of an issue as the high school system. I know a lot of kids who were steered away from vocational paths because they were "too smart" myself included. When in all reality a lot of those kids probably should have gone on to work a trade. Vocations, Trades, apprentice ships are not given enough value in my opinion and are looked down on. At the same time I saw many of those same kids enter college with me. 90% of the kids that entered my program (chemistry) dropped out. A large portion of which i think was due to the perception that they had to go get a college degree when in reality there time would have been better spent pursing another path. The cost of college is outrageous. I went to a state school and i can not even start to comprehend how someone can afford a private tuition. We need to sit down and determine is it really worth the investment. I think the debt we stat out with often far out weighs the benefits of the degree. As for a Degree my relative who is a professor once told me get your PHD you don't need to be a genius just persistent. He was absolutely right. I have worked with a lot of PHD's, some are brilliant but i would say i could run circles around just as many. I am not in favor of tenure. No one should ever be that secure. That is the reason a great deal of people are able to keep there jobs when they should be removed. Removal is still not the end of it. I know of a elementary administrator that was given a police escort off the property with a few of her "belongings". Said administrator turned up 15+ years later on the first day of school to teach one of my wife's classes at College. Every teacher should have an evaluation. There is no logical argument against this. As much as i think sports are a good thing it needs to be a pay to play situation. You or your parents want you in a sport, put your money where your mouth is. The last town i lived in had a beautiful sports complex but was photocopying books because they didn't have enough. Academics first and foremost once they are top notch then focus on the sports programs. Do away with standardized tests, there pointless. You end up teaching to meet the test not learn the material. And make it easier for kids to move ahead or fall back. To many kids are limited or not challenged enough by the curriculum while others are pushed along when they should not be. Enough with the square pegs in the round holes.

Nice All 4 of my kids have had a diet / allergy issue of some kind so i have an idea of what you must be going through. That being said none of them sound as bad as your situation. We had to get a special formula at one point but my pediatrician is AWESOME!!! He loaded my wife up with free samples which lasted a long time before we ever needed to buy anything. Good luck with everything and enjoy it. I cant believe how old mine are already.

Did You Know Is In Hancock, NY?
5.9cummins replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Well put -
I figured i would start a new thread for this. If your really want to be able to compare tax data check out this site. Just pick your state and county from the drop down list. I just checked and if you look at the % of tax's per home value upstate has got down state beat by a long shot in terms of how much they are paying based on what a home is worth. This is not intended to be a "you get more upstate for your money" argument. After all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because its worth more to you does not mean its worth more to me. Apples to Apples - taxes paid vs property value. http://interactive.taxfoundation.org/propertytax/ Funny thing is i compared my county tax rate with the PA county 10 miles to the south and the ranking isn't all that far apart, a couple hundred counties apart in the national ranking out of 1800 counties. That being said i know taxes are less than half in PA, gives you a good idea about how much of a "curve" NY taxes on.

Stick with a local nursery. I can point you in the direction of a few.
