Cool i would like to read that. I used to cary a bottle. Now i just let it rip. I have had luck peeing in scrapes and a archery shop owner that i know has had deer come up and lick the spots where he peed off his stand.

When i view your profile it says 1068

I don't have any photos and will not be contributing to this thread. Two days ago i got the bright idea to try and shoot groups again and reminded myself why i no longer do it. 12 arrows loose'd from 25 yards for 4, 3 arrow groups resulting in two split knocks and a ripped fetching.

The Tyrant Bloomberg Strikes Again
5.9cummins replied to Elmo's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The role of government should be to protect us from others, protect us from assault, protecting property from theft, protecting us from fire, natural disasters etc. etc. etc. The minute some one says that they are protecting you from you get as far away from them as possible. I quite chewing tobacco, i work out, cut down on the amount i drink, eat a very healthy well balanced diet, eat mostly organic, etc. etc. because i made my own conclusions about whats best for me and my family. I have to live with those decisions down the road and i am prepared to deal with the consequences, good or bad. I am all for things like posting nutritional content for easy access. Give people the tools to make an educated decision and leave it up to them. That is what McDonald's is doing and i applaud them for it. But truth be told i don't think the majority of people that are regular patrons of such places could really give two hoots about nutrition content and are not worried about there waist line but none the less that is there CHOICE and its not Bloomberg or Michelle Obamas place to say otherwise. -

and the tally was 104 antler-less deer, 17 racked bucks, and 25 or more others that were un-identifiable due to me having to get home because of a screaming 4 month old. out of the bucks saw 3 good shooters and one more that made my jaw drop. Pulled up on one filed and had 16 doe and fawn feeding. As we drove past the next hedge row there were 8 more doe and 8 bucks in the field. I was watching a couple small 8s push each other around when i noticed something move in the bottom of the binos. I thought i must have been a branch but i turned out to be one of the biggest 10s i have seen in a long time . I need to see if i can find a in with one of the property owners on that road

Same here only i have the classics and they are tipped with a 125 head.

I was going to say the exact same thing. There also appears to be a depression running through the lower T. which my guide deer to that intersection. On a side note, the first thought i had when i looked at that map was "this looks like Ithaca" then i looked at your location. I spend way to much time looking at aerial photos / maps. LOL

A little weight wont hurt either. Unless your the deer.

We just need to fix the loopholes and end the abuse. At the risk of being called a racist the Oneidas (Oneida Indian Nation) have done the same thing in Madison and Oneida counties and caused a significant increase in tax's due to the shrinking amount of "taxable" property. -
I am 6'0, 190 and i have a large but it has plenty of room to spare. You might be able to get away with a medium. There are also several guys on Archery Talk that sell ASAT, if you have an account.

I like fixed, I used tricks last year and was pleased with them. I picked up some muzzys this year and some no name (Allen i think) heads. I also picked up some shwackers (cheap) just to play with but i don't know if i will shoot them at game. I would really like to pick up some of the ulmer edge heads. Everything i have seen impresses me more than any other mechanical i have seen. I have played with rage, spitfires and some other over the top mechanicals which i have not been impressed with. I stumbled across this test thread on Archery Talk the other day. One of the better ones i have seen - VERY EXTENSIVE. Real Deal Broadhead test Test results spread sheet 70+ heads tested so far.

I got the leafy suite last year that way you can wear what ever you want under it. I had a couple close calls while wearing it. One buck caught me standing in the middle of a stream with no cover and didn't think twice about what i might be. If you go with that don't buy big to accommodate for other layers. The suites runs big. Eder's is the lowest price i know of.

I hunt a piece of state land not to far from your camp. Didn't see much sign yesterday when i went for a hike, until i crossed the ravine which drops over 200 feet in 500 feet. You almost never see sign in the bottom but i found multiple new rubs and deer tracks all around the water pools at the bottom. Only one oak dropping a few acorns but the hickory were dropping like crazy. I was a little disappointed i couldn't find a grey or two to bring home. I also ran across some bear droppings as well.

My dad grew up in Michigan and started bow hunting when he moved to NY but he gave it up before i was born. He bought me a BB gun when i was little but i never really took to "hunting". When i was 12 i went with a buddy and his dad down to there camp in the southern tier during spring turkey (we lived in CNY). At 4 am my buddies dad came in and woke us up and my buddy just rolled over and went back to sleep. I got up and went with his dad, fully clad in a gray sweat suit and packing my BB gun. We got settled in behined a blow down and he gave me a camo hat and shirt to throw over my cloths. That first morning i was hooked after watching the woods wake up. Never saw or heard a thing but i had a great time. When the fall rolled around i asked dad if i could take the hunters safety course but not knowing when they were we were to late and they were all booked. Tragically a week before the course at my local rod and gun club two boys from Syracuse who were scheduled to take the class started playing with there dads 12 gauge and one lost his life. My buddy and i took there spots. It still sends a little chill up my spine. Its my turn now. I have two daughters who i take fishing and deer hunting and another daughter and son who I will be trying to introduce into the outdoors. I also got my wife involved now. She has been with my when i have shot toms and two years ago she got to go on her first opening day deer hunt. Last year she and i went and took the safety course and now she has her license. She missed last year because she was pregnant with our son but shes got her license for this year and two DMPS burning a hole in her pocket. Probably one of the best memories i have is my first deer / buck. Taken with my dads old Fred Bear Whitetail 2 at 10 yards on the ground with a climbing treestand still on my back and not a freaking clue what i was doing. I am hope that my wife's and or kids first deer will bump this memory from the top spot.

Your judging the church based on a minorities actions as Soggard already pointed out. What would happen if we judged all democrats based on your comments. I know several democrats and I am even friends with some but they, unlike yourself can put together a well reasoned argument. One reason (outside religion) is school performance. Catholic schools generally outperform a good portion of the public schools. My kids school is top in the county and usually ranks in the top ten for all of western NY every year. And they do it at about half the cost of what the public schools end up being. Are you an ex-catholic by any chance? i get the feeling that there is something deeply rooted in all this hate that you post. Congrats on bating me into posting now i will let grouse continue dealing with you, i would rather spend my time with my kids making sure they are raised right. -
Doe if you have the time and money buy a couple boxes of shells and test them through the gun you plan on using. Its amazing how much difference you can get from manufacturer to manufacturer. I shoot a Moss 835 and it throws one hell of a pattern with a kicks mod choke. Pick one out and hold on the beak and you should be good to go. If you guys have not seen this site they have pretty good prices on waterfowl ammo. Rogers
