I agree completely Doc, If someone wants to boast about being a good shot get a piece of paper and go tack it up at some great distance to showoff to me. But when it comes down to killing an animal the most ergonomic shot should be number one priority, Not oh I might waste meat by that shot.

That is what I have been finding, Have you ever used a fiberglass ramrod? The internet description keeps saying "unbreakable" but the last thing I want to do is have another accident and this time have to deal with fiberglass in my hand.

During early muzzleloading I had a little accident with my ramrod and it got a little bent, Someone mentioned to me that a cheap alternative will be to get a wooden dowel from a local hardware store. Anyone have any insight on this? Obviously I will have to find the diameter of a dowel that will be equal if not a hair smaller to my 50 cal.

Growing up my mom was always a cat fan so we didn't have many dogs. During my junior year of college she sent me a picture of a dog she adopted and it looked like a black lab. So on the weekend I hurried home and as I was walking in to the yard BAM there was this huge monster barking at me! Turns out it was a great dane that we named Lilly, She loves to go camping, fishing and hiking so it is a good find. She is also very protective of my Mother, Every night when my Dad gets home from work, Lilly will make it be known she can hear someone outside yet will rarely leave her spot on the couch.

I hear you completely, I always like to know what someone actually means even if I don't agree with them, it is nice to hear the other side. I prefer to hunt Northern zone without a doubt so cutting the time I could hunt up there would hurt my feelings more than making Southern zone shorter. I completely agree that the state should go down to 1 buck a year per hunter, I feel that way people will think twice about a younger deer ect.
