  1. That is awesome and so convenient, first time I have ever really heard of that being done.

  3. I agree with that outline for how the kid is able to win, stats of a turkey doesn't mean it should win, so kudos on that. Solving the problem of the kid getting votes because he is affiliated with more people will be a tough part and the only thing I can think to solve it would be having people vote on the best story but leave out any names, then having people vote for the best picture and create a point system from that. Either way I look forward to this contest, not too much longer!
  4. Awesome Pics! Did anyone ever get the buck with a drop tine?
  5. Agreed, if they change I will be adding some sweet aftermarket parts on it, if not then it will do until I find a better job out of state . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. There always seems to be awesome sign by them and I shot my first deer sitting on a stone wall, so they always have a special spot in my heart.
  7. Something close to my home so I can always know what is going on at the property, I would also love a low level rock wall to be around the entire property, something about a rock wall I can't explain. If I had to choose a place either NY or VT and something about 100 acres would be great. Also there needs to be a pretty big pond or small lake on the property too that way I can fish year round too ha
  8. If this one makes me fall in love like I expect it to, I want to get the .223 with a 20 inch barrel and all those damn nice aftermarket things that I have to look past since I can't install them really upsets me ha.
  9. "Sorry for the harsh language, but that’s f***** horrible! F**********G HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe it!!!"" LOL these people crack me up
  10. If anyone has one of the rifles, a guy on ebay is selling the magazines in (7.62x39) for $14.99 with $4 shipping. Cheapest I have seen the mags in my searching so far.
  11. Could always sell the feathers to fly shops and hat companies and just use the excuse a wild predator got them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I was thinking the same thing but I didn't have other years of data to compare and make a judgement on it. Both were errors of improper gun handling. I would like to hear how the 15 year old made out for not having an adult with him and if he was fined or what punishment he faced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. To throw a curve ball on this, there is always the Glock 20 in 10mm, suitable for taking a deer without a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Tell me about it I was gonna get one and I just couldn't bite the bullet and spend a grand on those ugly things Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Also Walmart has the same ammo for $5.17 a box limit of 3. I don't have one of those fancy Herb Philipson by me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yote, Will do it just shipped tonight and I should have it in a couple days. Mine cost me $509 total, shipped and transfer fees. I have only heard good things so we will see soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If that happened I surely would never be hunting in southern zone again during rifle, It already sounds like a war imagine 25 shots that rapidly ha
  18. Send it through heart and the lungs, Bigger target to aim for and more room for error.

  20. No need to apologize, I always get fooled into that big deer one that is hit by a car in (Insert some local town close to you). Either way it is a big dog and something I wouldn't want bothering me during ML or Bow
  21. I hate to open a can of worms but I saw something like this on Archery talk last month I can find the link for it if need be but that thread had it listed in either Ohio or Indiana I believe..
  22. Yes it has a chrome lined barrel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I might have to ask some more questions later on about the Wasr info, but I only plan to add a scope and heat shield so I will never have to register it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well after not really having the money available to jump in to action when we were allowed to buy AR's I have been actively searching for a semi-auto that will shoot surplus ammo without breaking the bank. After searching and finding a local shop that was carrying Saiga 7.62x39's for $529 I started saving my pennies to get one. Well after reaching my goal and calling down they went from $529 on 1/15/2014 to $599, that sent me over the edge. So off to Gun Broker I went, 15 minutes later and a call to another shop, I ended up paying a heck of a lot less. Saiga 7.62x39 hunter model, AK variant, Excited to get my hands on it to see what it will be able to do. Anyone have any experience with them?
  25. That layer that you saw I think you are referring to is a muscle called Silver skin, Some people leave it on for flavor, but I remove it. You need a nice steady hand and a sharp knife and just be careful it is very similar to the shiny silver skin on a beef tenderloin.
