My college education almost paid off other than the reading part. I realized after you said 3800 heads and not milkers. But congrats that is an awesome farm you have going on, it is a lot bigger than what is by my house.

http://www.sprucehavenfarmllc.com/index.php A little google work and you can find the farm.

Taking the average cow produces between 5.5-8 gallons per day times by 8.6 pounds per gallon. So 3,800 (cows) x 6.5 (Gallons per day & A middle between the two) equals 24,700 gallons x 8.6 pounds per gallon equals 212,420 pounds per day. Not to mention that has to be one serious Concentrated Animal Feed Operation going on. I hope he takes good care of the daily waste of a facility of that size.

True, I was thinking that generally these materials are in everyone's kitchen so it was just a quick test. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I was told the same thing by the park police for a local federal park, he said take pictures of it, hold it but don't remove it, I find it would be impossible to ticket someone because it is our tax dollars paying for the lands, but that is my opinion.

Well after this snow storm it has me thinking of this past spring and how I went on a spontaneous pig hunt with my buddy in Florida. The hunt was a 3 day feral pig hunt, that allows traditional or modern bows. The price for the 3 day hunt was $385 and worth every penny. We didn't end up coming back with any pigs, but we had the time of our lives and had a lot of fun bowfishing. If anyone wants any more info or has any questions let me know.

I like to pack these for when I am hunting, hiking or fishing: Get a tortilla and spread some PB across it, drizzle some honey and sprinkle some granola across it, wrap it up and bam a snack that travels safe without worrying about keeping it cold. That is my favorite treat with PB.

Another stick shooter! I use to use a leather tab to shoot with, but ended up going over to a basic leather glove that I got from cabelas that latches over my 3 "middle" fingers and has a wrist strap that has Velcro to keep it tight to the wrist

Total of 31 deer with average groups being 6-8 deer, 1 solo deer feeding and only one road kill. Looking pretty solid so far for this coming spring Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So far on my drive today over by Buckandaquarters area I have seen 20 just grazing the fields while the snow is coming down. Hopefully next year I get out with my bow for some early hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here was the biggest congestion of the group in one field, again sorry about the blurry photo.

I wish I had a better picture but I will go through my files, Last year on my way to college I saw a field with over 65 deer in it (End of Feb or start of March time area), Didn't have my good camera with me at the time just a crappy cellphone. After I got done there drove another .5 miles up the road and saw another 45 plus deer. All in all it was the most deer I have ever seen in one time. Let me dig through and see if I can pull it up

I believe by near world record it is meant through the ice, because the first time I saw the video I laughed at the size and was like no way is that a record Laker. But I believe it is just short inch wise for the longest trout through the ice.

I couldn't see why not, I would use a 40-45 grain bullet.

Have fun and stay warm! I have 24 more days before I head out to my hunting camp for the weekend, I am already all sorts of antsy waiting for the time to come.

Finally going to start my orchard
UpstateNomad90 replied to BornToHunt's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I am placing an order through my neighboring county soil and water department. Both my county and this county have orders every year. They offer shrubs, trees and fruit trees. This year I will be ordering blueberry bushes for my house and a pear tree and for my hunting camp I will be ordering 2-4 apple trees that will be between 4-6 feet each. I think the trees cost me 2/25 area for apples, 2/10 for blueberries and the pear I am not sure on.
