  1. The mounts both look good, the dipping is growing on me. I do have to add the dog looks so sad but funny! Great picture!
  2. Congrats! I just became an Uncle to a beautiful niece, I can only imagine how excited you are.
  3. This is NY everything can be a weapon hahah
  4. You can always stick a camera in his hands too, so we can see the results!
  5. Do you know if they are going to release anything on it? I would love to read the story and see some pictures. I get wanting to keep the spot secret but you know how it can be wanting to know more!
  6. Thank you, I wish I could say that I did the work but I bought it like this. Rattlesnake skin and beaver tail leather handle, shoots very nice and pretty quite.
  7. I shoot a 1967.5 Bear Super Kodiak, It is almost double my age and I am in love....
  8. Everyone seems to have a hit list of a deer for their photos, I am over here all excited about this woodpecker
  9. I use it for macaroni and cheese instead of butter!
  10. I will keep my eyes open when I receive my permits to make sure the tags are in there. I was shocked, a guy I work with had 2 PP and was denied. I try with 1 PP and get it, doesn't make any sense to me, but I like it.
  11. I need to expand my horizons and start hunting in Western NY those bonus DMP's are nice!
  12. Whoops crappy wording on my part, I only got 1 tag. But every where I was reading was saying I would have a low chance this year, so I spent the $10 planning for another Preference point
  13. Anyone else get surprised and end up with a DMP? I thought I was just donating $10 to the state but I was shocked to see I ended up getting a DMP that works out for both my home and right behind where I work. (Nothing better than being able to rush out behind my work and hunt for an hour before dark) Let the count down begin.
  14. American Eagle 22 has always done 40 rounders for as long as I can remember buying it. I have been able to shoot 10 round groups at 50 yards at about the size of half dollar. It took a little adjustments on the scope but I think it is decent ammo for the price. (It is CCI's sub brand)
  15. I can also agree as a younger guy (24) liking Genny light the older guys at hunting camp laugh when they see me drinking it. But Genny light was my favorite beer all throughout college, I would swing into Hannaford and grab a 30 pack for under $20 and not have to worry about others drinking it. I have only seen it tall bottles like that once, I like the retro bottles though.
  16. I have to say I am more interested in the CVA Optima V2 pistol than I would be a 300 yard muzzleloader. Just shocked me to see Remington come back into the muzzleloader game with a $1,000 gun.
  17. That's what I was thinking, A lot of cash for something that doesn't seem to offer any greater advantages. But if someone does get on on the forum I would love to hear first hand what they think.
  18. Anyone else think this Remington Muzzleloader is a bit steep? I saw an ad online and have to say i'm not really that impressed with the gun and what they claim it can do. Is that 50 Gr. really worth it? http://ultimatemuzzleloader.com/
  19. Damn I am surprised that the screen is all intact, If it was mine I would expect atleast a 22 lr through it and if that didn't do the trick a follow up 45-70 Gov't should clear it up.
  20. Thanks for all your help, Looks like lures for me this weekend.
  21. So what if the wording is no live bait? We are doing a back country camping/fishing trip and I just want to be within the law, I am thinking a call to DEC is needed but figured I would ask here first.
  22. Just to verify, are you agreeing that it is a live bait?
  23. Dumb question and I expect there will be laughs and all that, But lately someone I fish with stated worms were a live bait and can not be used on water ways that ban the use. I always thought worms were considered a natural bait and can be used anywhere. I have looked over the DEC site and can not seem to find anything. Can someone guide me in the right direction without too much laughing. Thank you in advanced.
  24. Also if anyone is close to Burlington, VT there are brewery tours to Fiddlehead, Switchback, Magic Hat, Harpoon, Long Trail and Otter Creek.
