Hillary flip flopping on guns.If she gets elected I am sure she will use the mother approach to getting new gun laws passed. http://reason.com/blog/2015/04/13/hillary-clinton-on-guns-not-a-big-fan -
Our Lease was logged....questions.....
HectorBuckBuster replied to ApexerER's topic in General Hunting
Logging will not effect your hunting. The deer with switch over and use the logging roads. If you where smart you could take the limbs and make walls and direct the deer where you want them to go. The turkey hunting may be harder, as with all the brush, they may have to take the long way around. What I hate is loggers that just tear ass pulling trees out and damage the base of the trees on the logging roads, hurting the value on those trees in the future. -
looking for ground hog land to hunt!!!!!
HectorBuckBuster replied to lonegunner's topic in Land For Sale, Lease, and Requests
Its illegal in NY now to shoot wild hogs now. -
You can hunt mink with a 22lr unless you are in the Northern Zone WMUs*. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/97232.html

I have a peacock call, that works pretty good. The owl call used to work awesome years ago, but seems less effective now since alot of people just hoot away on them.

Yes you can hunt the Nationa Forest. The National Forest is spread out.You really need to scout it out before season, and know the terrain, as you could go to the spot you want to hunt opening day and find other hunters already there. The first few days hunters are every where and then they just drive the roads looking in the fields for birds, then after that during the week not too many hunters. Birds do get some pressure. You also have the Willard Wildlife Unit near Ovid that you can hunt, its not huge and nice if no other hunter is around. The Boy Scout Camp is to the North, but you can't hunt that. The bird population is way down compared to a few years ago. Lots of private land in the Ovid/Lodi/Interlaken area and most of it id tied up with local hunters.

Deer Poaching last night
HectorBuckBuster replied to HectorBuckBuster's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
Wooly this deer was not hit by a car. One of the problems is with our county its a huge county and goes around the southern tip of Seneca Lake, so response time sucks. Also the Sheriffs dept is not the best in this County either. But after posting this picture on FB, it seems that a couple friends of mine have had the same thing happen on the next road over, and they seen a red vehicle with loud exhaust doing the same thing. So if they keep trying to do it, I think they will be caught as mosre people are on the look out now. -

Well as of last night the DEC has not returned our phone call. Yes, sad to say the deer is just laying there and is spoiled. -
Well one of the biggest hits against NY in that article was you had to purchase a seperate bow tag.

Deer Poaching last night
HectorBuckBuster replied to HectorBuckBuster's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
Where this deer laided dead was not even 45 yards max from the road. It also was in a peach orchard which right now the trees have no leaves and are in rows. I did not move the deer or flip it over. Never though about buck shot. I may stop back up and look at some of the peach trees and see if there is any marks on them, to see if buck shot was used. I was not there, so only can tell you what I was told, and I took the picture of the deer myself this morning. -
So some low lifes shot a deer on my dads property last night right next to his house less then 500 feet away. Guy who works for my dad seen a spotlight and then a couple shots. He went out and yelled and they took off, they tried coming back later with flashlights and he yelled again and they took off. He went up this morning and laying in the peach orchard dead was a doe. I seen 2-3 rifle holes in the front shoulder.Has been reported to DEC, but they have not gotten back to us.

Here is the problem. Every gun owner should be correcting people and calling them modern sporting rifles not the made up term by the gun grabbers as "Evil assault rifle". Its just a gun that looks a little different then the gun most people grew up around. Just like the telephone has changed from when it was introduced, the gun has evolved too. All gun owners need to band together soon, or else none of us gun owners will be able to legally own and type of gun.You really think the gun grabbers will stop if the get Modern Sporting Rifles banned, nope next they will go after all Semi-Automatics, then after that they will attack different calibers, and go right down the line until ever gun is banned. It won't happen today but it will happen over the next 30-50 years. Yes it may not effect you, but that gun you want to give to your son, daughter, could be taken away from them a destroyed. -

Stubby, so I bet you still think the Safe Act does not effect you. So no one needs a black bow then since Rambo had one. Also I believe the cops where the only ones that had AR's in First Blood. -

Well a AR is just like owning a car, boat, sled, 4 wheeler. You can add my different things to it to customize it. You go buy a Remington 700 rifle, you can add a few things. I get a AR I can buy a lower, and build several different caliber uppers, and swap them out in a by popping out a could pins. The AR plate form is like a blank canvas and you can make it what you want. -

Slay, NYS can't even tell you whats legal and not legal to own. The Mag lock is a gamble. NYS Troopers will not give anything in writing about what a legal fix would be on securing a mag to your lower. -
They are located in Waterloo and pretty much offer almost anything. Only problem you might run into is right now I believe there are running at about 2 month turn around time. http://tarjac.com/

Safe act confusion
HectorBuckBuster replied to Borngeechee's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The Safe Act did nothing but create a special class of citizens, that can have stuff that the average person can not.
