  1. These shows have made it all about the antler size and money.
  2. I was told it was a done deal and should be law in 2015.
  3. No Cuomo did not make the decision the DEC and Health Dept guy did. Cuomo is just following their suggestion. He is trying to play both sides.
  4. It called a In-Line Vertical Crossbow. Holy crap that thing is noisy.
  5. Field & Stream in Big Flats/Elmira had a pallet full of Thunderbolt 22LR bricks for $24.99 yesterday when I was there.
  6. It all goes back to old money, you have a few families that control everything. Every see that series called Men who built America are now the families that control America.Once they set up the federal reserve America lost what freedom it had. You have the Duponts and Rockfellers and a few others that pull all the strings behind the scenes.
  7. You wait when a few select people or business acquire enough land you will end up seeing fracking in NY.
  8. Belo, so with green energy are you talking solar and electric cars? If so have you every looked in to RARE EARTH METALS. Even though they are called rare earths they are not rare, but look at what a rare earth mine looks like.Rare Earth metals are key to all kinds of green technology: Neodymium magnets turn wind turbines. Cerium helps reduce tailpipe emissions. Yttrium can form phosphors that make light in LED displays and compact fluorescent light bulbs. Hybrid and electric cars often contain as many as eight different rare earths. Just google pictures of rare earth mines. So how much is these green energy's really hurting the plant? This is the dark side of green energy.
  9. SO does this mean as the land owners of NY can sure NYS, because we are not now allowed to extract the gas below or land.
  10. Yes these are full blow casino's with table games and slots
  11. Well I was right Seneca County got a Casino !
  12. I think Seneca County. Its next to the Thruway so that state will get more tolls, and its between Syracuse and Rochester. Also I see Sessler announced they will in vest $100 million dollars in a large retail development. They would be stupid not to, as between the casino and this you are talking over $500 million dollars invested.
  13. Unless you signed up with Cornell Hunting program, you have ButterMilk and Treman State Parks which would be bow only.
  14. If the ammo background check part of the Safe Act goes into effect, I can see the Indians setting up Ammo shops.
  15. I see a couple potential problems. It alot longer then wider, so getting to the back of the property you basicaly have to go through the whole parcel to get to the stream. Also wil being so narrow what are the odd's of a shot deer not going on a neighboring property.
  16. Here is a map on my farm. Not sure what year this is from so can't give you breakdown of crops, but you can see the difference between crop fields and grass. The farmer rotates Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Rye, Clover, and a couple other grains.
  17. I remember back before all this scent control, My dad and I would where are work coveralls that where covered in grease, fuel, grapes, and what every else was on them. We would sit in tree's and still see lots of deer and kill lots of deer. If I take a tractor or my 4 wheeler and drive around a vineyard most of the time the deer will just stand there or stay laying down, now if I drive my truck around, and time of the year those deer take off like a rocket.
  18. Pugsley, on the Ag assessment you need to have $10,000 worth of income from farming too.
  19. Not sure where you are located but if it is under $2000 a acre you better jump on it. I have been seeing land in my area go between $2300-$10,000 a acre. Vineyard land is getting hard to find and going out of sight. I was told by the farmer that rents my farm, that the land is worth atleast $10,000 a acre because of the soil types. Alot of the value in land for farming is based on the soil types. The other thing driving up the land in my area, is large dairy farms expending their herds and needing land to get rid of the manure. Also with such a small parcel of 40 plus acres I would not sub-divide it. You want to hunt and all you need to get is some person the is Anti Hunting and you could lose the right to hunt certain parts on your own property because of the 500 ft rule.
  20. Kludes, so how bad are fur prices this year?
  21. Well I believe limo's and buses are exempt, if not they could pull every limo and bus on my road going to all the wineries.
  22. I believe it just is a excuse for them to riot and loot. I bet people will got to that area just to loot.
  23. Has is been sitting awahile, the Ehtonal just plays hell on all small engines. The ethonal seperates and causes all kinds of problems.
