Buddy rakes paths to his ground blinds or stands on his property (11 acres) to sneak in to hunt with his primitive bow . Gets to hunt a few hours here or there so sneaking in stealthy is a plus. He sticks deer so I'd say rake .

11 breweries in Ithaca and along Seneca lake on the return trip home to Buffalo. 64 log ins into untapped. Breweries along Seneca lake are becoming just a popular as wineries !

I highly suggest Liberty Hound for food and beer. Within yards of the Naval Ships (where someone stole all the flags this weekend). DO NOT park directly in front of the apartments nearby however (found out the hard way with a $50 ticket). We had pan seared tuna with wonton chips, pickled seaweed and a sirachi mayo, banana pepper cheese dip with wonderful bread and some homemade fries dusted with parmasean cheese, truffle oil and fresh parsley. The burgers looked great too. Waterfront was really nice. Resurgence brewing is approx 10 minute drive down Niagara st. It's an old firehall I believe. Lots of picnic tables inside and out. Giant Jenga which when they fall everyone yells "Jenga" Dominoes and checkers on tables to play. Sponge candy stout is supposed to be good but been out the last 2x I've been there. The stretch of Niagara st to get there and surrounding is not the best area however. I did stuff the 40 in my waistband.

Were passing the old army base in Geneva tomorrow night at o'dark thirty. Hope to spot some of those pibalds.

Going to Ithaca this weekend and getting a growler of Flower Power to come home with us. And hitting up Bandwagon brewery, Rooster Fish in Glen Falls and Two Goats along Seneca Lake. The best part of a growler= only one serving. Growlers o'plenty

Friend in TX just sent me a pic of a coral snake slithering around her deck last night. Wasn't a king snake, I googled it. Nightly tarantulas and scorpions along with a twister that did some horrific damage to her house a few weeks ago. Tis why I don't whine about shoveling snow.

I like Sixpoint's stuff but whatever you do DO NOT drink their RAD !!! My first drainpour. Looks like OJ and tasted like grapefruit juice and vomit . Keep your eyes open for Sierra Nevada's Beer Camp asst 12 pack compilation due to arrive in NY any day. It includes a lot of breweries that normally won't sell by law in NY. Russian River, Cigar City, New Glarus, Three Floyds, etc. Very limited but heard great things about it .

In the last year or so I've gotten into craft beers. Anyone else like a good craft beer? Some favs are: Maine Brewing IPA / Ale Smith Speedway Stout/ Ghandi Bot/ anything from Eviltwin. Liking the high abv % the most. One or two 9-13% beers and relax on our deck or around the fire pit. Have to admit I had a Genny pounder at the inlaws on the 4th. Wasn't as good as when I was in HS, lol. Please don't blast me for becoming a beer snob ,lol. Just liking quality over quantity these days Trying to land some Russian River from CA and Headdy Topper from Vermont .

Only two garters so far. Going hiking in Ithaca this weekend and usually find some. Questing salamanders too. So in Disney's waterpark (Blizzard Beach) last year there was commotion around the locker areas. People scurrying and yelling. A snake of about 2' was slithering around. Now I'm not familiar with Florida snakes so I asked a worker if it was poisonous or not. She said no so I went to pick it up to move it. She said I'm sorry sir but guests are forbidden to disturb wildlife. I said turn your head, my 11 year old daughter said I'll pick it up then,lol. They managed to pick it up with those garbage tongs and safely move it.

I stop shaving opening day and grow a goatee every year. Some years it grows more than others. This year i shot one opening day so no goatee,lol.

I miss the days of the brick of Yellow Jackets for $10 My 10/22 loved them even with that funky cone nose. We'd shoot a brick a weekend

The newer range on Walden (Depew) has .22 ammo. Slightly expensive from what I hear but don't need to grab your ankles.

How do your arms and legs look after wresting with all them berries ? Mine are shredded from picking a quart of black razzies. And I was being careful too.

Sine July 4th on black razzles in one area. Reds in another place are a week away. Reminds me i gotta check the blackberry stash tomorrow
