Obama's way of thinking . . .

Geez, just checked back in on this thread. It's amazing how fast a circus can break out once the clowns show up. -
Obama's way of thinking . . .

Early- couldn't agree more. But, don't forget, in this political climate, pointing out veiled racism is somehow considered worse than actually being racist. Steve- never let facts get in the way of good propaganda. -

I don't know why I feel compelled to help you with this. The statement is one that you agree with, Yes? Judging from your other posts on this thread, you are not a fan of obama. But, you posted a phrase that you agree with and attributed it to a man you don't agree with, in an attempt to disparage him. Doesn't make any sense. -

I think that in your right wing enthusiasm to take another silly shot at Obama, you were a little careless. Isn't that quote the exact oppsite of what all you guys accuse the president of thinking. -
You are wrong Doe, We should hug them into a new vision in life. Lawbreakers aren't bad people, Their plight in life has forced them into those actions. Culver, if you're so anti-baiting (I am, too), then why are you trying to start another 'left vs. right' pissing match?

This is a great topic for a thread. I'm looking forward to all the responses. The past couple of years, I've found the early part of bow season to be pretty slow and had convinced myself that I'd wait until late October-early November to really start spending more time in the woods. Of course, the opener has been moved up and I'm debating whether or not to take advantage of the two additional weeks. I'll probably decide my plans based on what I see on my cameras. If there's a fair bit of activity during daylight hours, I'll head upstate opening week. If not, I'll try to resist the urge and wait a few weeks. Either way, if I'm at camp, I'll hunt morning and evening.

People telling us to "shut up" or "give it a rest" because we are calling someone out on baiting is also indirect support of baiting as well as far as Im concerned. OK, fine. But, only one guy told you to shut up. The other guy was probably just tired of you acting as if the content of every thread on this site needs your personal approval.

Baiting seems to be cool with many people here, I just don't get it? This thread is bizarre. Who are you guys referring to? I just went back and scanned through the thread and I don't see anyone defending the use of bait. What's with all the sanctimonious outrage from everyone?

Am I missing something? Why all the hostility?

Something about Hank Parker seems slimy to me. His shows are always geared toward selling products and I hate that- especially since the products usually involve bait. Any product that he endorses is probably one that i'd avoid.

Nice job. I just finished mine last winter and I can relate to all of the 'unseen' work you listed. I actually added a bathroom in mine, which added a ton of extra work- chopping out the slab, etc. etc. Well worth it.

It's a bit of a ride from the city, but the Brookhaven range on Long Island is great. You can shoot out to 200 yards.

Thanks. Seems less complicated than i thought it would be. But, it seems like tough terrain to head into in the dark with a climber. I stumbled on a flock of about a dozen turkeys in there last week.

I was in there scouting last week and my legs got ravaged. Chiggers are brutal. The itching is just finally getting better.

I used exterior grade 3/4" tongue and groove plywood over PT 2x8 joists.

I will be curious how this plays out for company stores vs franchiases. a company owned store could get hit where a franchaise might not. (talking about any fast food type store) Interesting article about the spin on this topic. http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/09/opinion/carroll-health-care-act/index.html?hpt=hp_c2 -
Thanks for the response. So, does that mean that basically, legal access is from the numbered parking sites only? And, is it first come first served? You seem familiar with the area. What did you mean by 'tough hunting'? Have you had any success out there?

I find the DEC website info hard to follow. Can anyone help clarify the rules for hunting the Sarnoff property. My question is this- from what i understand, you need the yearly access permit AND you need to be assigned one of the numbered sites. And, i'm assuming that you need to be parked in the numbered parking area for your assigned site. Is that right? Does that mean that aside from hunters in the numbered parking areas that there is noone else hunting that property at any given time?

As a true NYer, we are not allowed to eat at any chain pizza joints. You can only buy pizza from a guy who wear tomatoe sauce and flour on his dirty wife beater shirt. It's the law. Finally something that everyone on this forum should be able to agree on!!! -

As far as the health care for him....the mom and pops will have to do the same thing...right? so the crap pizza goes up and the great pizza goes up and who ends up paying anyway...lol. "Hey honey, do you want a sheet pizza and wings or 4 new tires for the van?" Unless 'mom and pop' have over 50 employees, I think they're mostly exempt. -

I hope he does have to raise his prices and that it will result in that franchise disappearing- I can't stand seeing his twitchy face on tv all the time. Crap pizza- I don't understand how they stay in business, especially here in the tri-state area where there is great pizza all around.
