  1. Total tangent but every time I buy 410 ammo I am already pissed, why the hell is the smallest main stream shot she'll the most expensive! I understand they are produced in much smaller quantities but it drives me crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. unorthodox is working so far, if only I shot does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. And that's why I don't buy ammo/guns at box stores! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Brush/weeds are too high and thick, without making a ton of noise and cutting shooting lanes that wind work unless I stand on a step stool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yup I can shoot over the bushes and weeds. We chopped the corn yesterday and it's getting disked tomorrow so it's a 1 shot deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The stand is about 18" of the ground, he's coming out of a finger in a corn field and it chokes down to about 30 yards wide. But I can't get into the finger because It is a 50 acre flat swamp so he will be able to see me the only suitable spot is in a big soft maple but there is no cover at all. So I'm down in the bushes. While sitting my eyes just clear the weeds while standing they are about chest high. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Just hung a very unorthodox stand setup on a decent buck I have seen the last 2 days don't know if he's a shooter yet but I should be within 25yds of where he came out the last 2 nights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. In the political world you have to pick your fights, the left is all bent out of shape on these stupid things, frig it give it to them. President Trump should make a big deal about it with a news conference where he says something like " today we fixed a bad deal, very bad deal very Very very very bad deal that President Obama allowed while he was in office... Make the left think they win and make them look stupid in the process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Paper tune!!!! If you can't chase the tear and the fletching isn't hitting anything then you have a spine issue. Bows are a pretty simple mechanism if the arrows aren't coming out of the bow straight there is a reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You're missing the point, the bump fire stock will only work as fast as the gun will allow it to. That's like saying putting this tire on your car and u will run 5 sec quarter mile times. There is a lot more involved in rate of fire than a plastic but stock. Another thing is many piston operated AR's a gas adjustments for running cans. These adjustments will change the speed that the cycle of operations happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Sorry pap but you're spreading fake news, 240 G has an adjustable gas setting and will fire from 650-950 rounds per minute depending on setting the newer 240 B isn't adjustable and fires at 7-850 rounds per minute. Every gun is different so there is no set speed that every 240 will shoot at. . I have shot 10's of thousands of rounds from 240's and I was a 240 gunner in Iraq my first time trip and from all the audio I have listened to I do not think it was a 240. 13. I don't see box stores keeping prices in check but I'm only going of the Flyers I get in the mail because I don't go in them. My your assumption that that I meant every one is incorrect, it was a generalization from my experiences. Never would I say that every person that stands at a gun counter of a box store is incompetent but unfortunately from my experiences at them the majority are. Your example is an exception and not the norm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I agree with there being people buying guns that shouldn't be just as there are people selling them that shouldn't. In my experience gun shops tend to have more knowledgeable staff than big box stores, your mileage may be different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. All quality broadheads will fly like a field point if the bow is properly tuned. I'm sure as hell not going to put a cover over my broadhead under any circumstance and I would likely make my own broadheads out a piece of rock before I shot another critter with food back blades. In my opinion it's a solution looking for a problem that doesn't exist. If your bow doesn't shoot broadheads like field points it's most likely not the broadheads it's the bow. Now mechanical heads can bandaid this by making the arrows hit where field points do but you will still be loosing a whole bunch of KE by your nock not being behind the head when your arrow is not flying true. 16. What I call foolish is having to listen to the water heads behind the counter at these box stores. I will never buy a gun from a box store, never have never will and I average 3 gun purchases a month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. This is my exact point, and why I don't think guns should be sold at box stores. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm more listening for rate of fire than sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. If he has a justifiable reason not to absolutely. What actual gun shop would turn away business just to turn it away? If an owner was a racists he wouldn't be in business long. But if someone comes in with bloodshot eyes acting very nervous etc etc the gun shop has to sell the gun if the individual passes the nics check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. 1 wounded with a bow. It was with a rage when they first came out and I had a problem with them opening in the air. Did some searching on the Internet and found people were using a tiny piece of shrink tube over the blades to keep them closed. I tried it it opened in water bottles cardboard everything I could shoot them through for testing. That season I shot a buck that acted really weird on impact I watched my lumenock go in just above his elbow at 16 yds. Waiting an hr got down looked at my arrow and my heart stopped, my rage was still shrink wrapped in the closed position. I tracked that deer for a couple hundred yards with a very very small amount of blood. I know the deer died but after 2 days of searching I never found him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. the mag in the gun to the left and the stack beside the pillar are 100rd mags most likely they are sure fire's. These are the best quality high capacity ar mags on the market. These are the same magazines that the Marine Corps purchased when they started fazing out their M249 saw "light machine gun" for the m27 IAR "piston operated full auto m16." 23. I have listened to a ton of audio and I will say I still don't know. As a weapons instructor and 4 deployments I have heard small arms and machine gun fire from all angles audio recordings make it hard to decipher. To me it sounds too slow to be a 249 "saw" or 240 some older 240's have gas settings and it sorta sounds like a terrible running 240 but it sounds more like a 5.56 than the 7.62 that the 240 fires. A saw "249" will not run that slow. If I was to make my best educated guess I would say the long sustained bursts are from a high quality piston operated ar with a bump fire stock or a crank trigger. If he had multiple AR's staged with 100rd drums the sustained fire he was capable is completely possible. If this is the case I am amazed he was able to get 100rd drums to run as well as they did because most of them are junk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. Never heard of it but with a name like that it's got to be good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
