    Thanks Grampy, the truth is this old worn out pump was well trained way before it became mine. I'll have to take some pictures of the old girl to show how beat up it really is. Not really any rust just a ton of honest wear. I found that gun at zacks down on round lake. Got it cheap but probably over paid for it. I have a soft spot for worn out old deer rifles and couldn't let someone else buy it and make it sit in a tree stand all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I never have been interested in my deer rifle shooting tiny groups. I just shot this 4 shot group free hand at 100yds. The 65yr old 35rem is still able to get it done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Spine indexing can be very important with Xbows. Mark a 1,2,3 on your fletch and shoot and find what number in the rail shoots the most consistent, scribble the other 2 numbers out. Do this for every bolt and then try the broadheads again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    No skin in the game because I would rather hit myself in my genitalia with a hammer than carry an Xbow and a compound in the field at the same time. I hate carrying my crossbow let alone a bow as well. That being said I am really looking forward to the official word from the Dec. Ifthey see that a Xbow has such an advantage over a vertical bow that they would deem it illegal to have one with you while you also have a vertical bow then they absolutely without a doubt do not belong in archery season!     I don't see how it could be legal for me to carry essentially a shotgun and a rifle for 2 different game species "deer and grouse" and it not be legal for grow to carry a bow and an Xbow for 2 different game animals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I'll have to find it but I have a old email response from a Eco stating it is legal for me to carry my savage model 24 "30-30 over 20ga" loaded with a 30-30 round as well as a game load in the 20ga barrel.     Finally made it up north for the first time all season and have had the greatest hunt of my life. For over an hour I had 3 bull moose 100yds below me in an all out brawl. Could only see glimpses because of the leaves but the sounds alone were unbelievable. They're "grunts" literally shake the ground this close. Brother got the big boy that we had in cam last night.     Best recipe I have found for bear is not to shoot them, if you have to shoot one give it away. I have had it a bunch of times from a bunch of bears and haven't found a bear or bear recipe that I found enjoyable to eat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I'm carrying my G29 sf right now. It's a great carry gun when u have more than shorts and a t shirt gun it's also my woods carry gun. Not all rant fun to shoot but plenty accurate enough for what it's for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Wasn't a personal attack just a statement and an observation. I killed my public land archery elk in laccrose rubber boots American eagle khaki shorts and a OD green Marine Corps issue T shirt. I don't think any of those products made me kill him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The worst thing you can do is walk down the edge, it very easy for deer to spot you when you're that visible. I have used my tactic I crunchy leaves and crunchy snow and been successful. A big woods bucks doesn't know what a human sounds like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stay downwind if possible get 20 or 30yds away from clearing walk straight in and straight out. Walk 30-40 yds parallel at 20-30yds away and repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I crack up every time I hear of people buying specialty gear for hunts out west. I have hunted Colorado and New Mexico both public land with no guides and it's easy to tell the locals from the "tourists" locals are in blue jeans and a flannel shirt "tourists" have all the latest and greatest camo. When you watch hunting shows the guide usually has some top of the line jacket and jeans and cowboy boots. I'm willing to bet the jacket is for TV only. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Very well said, people on here brag about 200$ dip camo jobs on their bows but complain about a 15$ broadhead. I don't shoot rage but if I was going to I surely wouldn't be buying them from China and taking money out of Americans pockets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
