I don't feel that land has much to do with it. Our seasons are too long in all but the Adirondacks and we get too many buck tags. Go to 1 buck and a 1 week gun season for 5 years and see how big the Bucks start getting. Problem is many hunters want to have their cake and be able to eat it. You can't have 4-8 weeks of gun season and be allowed to kill 2 bucks and want to have more mature bucks. That being said I hope nothing changes in NY, I love hunting the Adirondacks and haven't had much problem killing mature bucks up there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My forester will drive circles around my truck in all bad road conditions other than a lot of snow. It gets over 30mpg even with the high miles. Still drives down the road as straight as a string. Has hauled more deer than most trucks. It fits my ice fishing sled and gear perfectly. I average about 15k miles on the forester a year and less than 5k on my trucks. When my forester has to be put down here will be another in the yard within a few days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think the biggest thing that scent control helps is positive mindset. If the wind changes a little but some spray, deodorant or what ever else keeps you in the stand for a couple extra minutes it is worth the investment. As for me, Well this will be I think my 18th big game season and I'm 0 for 18 on purchasing a single scent control product. In that 18 years I have killed mature bucks in 7 states and have to be darn near 100 dead deer. I think I'll keep spending my money on beer and bullets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks good Grow, I would call the tree growing beside the stand cover. I still say you want to have cover and with this set you have plenty[emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good point, completely off topic but I'm going to have to shoot a cup n core out of my 35 rem pump project gun because I can get any 35 cal Barnes to open up properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You tried these yet Pyg? I would think they would be perfect for the M1 as long as they feed properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Plenty of power, my advice don't look for a solution for a problem that doesn't exist . Shoot a fixed blade head and have no worries. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I haven't put any out yet probably won't. 1 well placed can will tell you what's on 40 acres but it could take 10 be able to pattern a specific deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Depends on how far away they are. It is the only suitable tree on the best natural funnel on my farm. It's on a side hill so the deer are usually not that down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have stands from 37ft to 2 ft. Situation and cover dictates how high I will go. Most of mine are 15-25ft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bingo! The 200lb club is what's important to me! If I shoota 200lb 2yr old I'm doing the woods a favor because he clearly had eating issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where are those plots?
Buckmaster7600 replied to growalot's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
oat's, turnips and clover/corn plot. None of it looks great but the deer have been killing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I don't know about everyone else but I am damn proud of our flag and what it stands for! We as a country are far from perfect but we still enjoy freedoms other countries could only dream of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What do you do for hunting permission
Buckmaster7600 replied to Buckmaster7600's topic in General Hunting
My brother and I own all but 20 acres of the home farm but I get bored staring at the same trees and same fields on our 200 acre farm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
