This is exactly how I feel! We’ve played the stupid games it’s time to open up. If you want to be scared then stay home. If you’re elderly or have pre existing conditions, stay home and avoid people that aren’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Day 4 of staying in a tent in the ADK’s on a deer scouting/turkey hunting trip. Have found some birds but have yet to hear a gobble. There still some snow in spots in the woods. The birds I found was a flock of about 10 jakes and toms but it was after 12pm. Haven’t found them again since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I actually think that’s going to be more the direction it goes, if it goes at all. Apparently there is a large market in the short film world that I didn’t know anything about, I believe she called them “film festival’s.” I’m sure there’s not many hunting videos at these things tho. Haha, you and I think alike! I think she’s going to work out if I can get her for the right week. She’s a college student that does some filming on the side. Avid hiker, enjoys the outdoors but has never hunted or been around hunting. I think with her not being a hunter she’s going to be able to see it from a completely different perspective and hopefully make a good video Because of that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have hours of gopro videos and it’s just not the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For someone that does it for a living 5-10k with edits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It would be cool, but the up front cost/ someone willing to endure it for a week with very little/no return on investment makes it very hard to write a check. I would absolutely love to have a video/documentary of a week of me in the big woods but the up front cost/ return on that cost makes it very difficult to rationalize the initial investment. Especially for the very limited market that wants to watch me follow a deer track through the big woods. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve been doing interviewing/100 questioning a few videographers to follow me for a week in the ADK’s since the end time last hunting season. I have one high school friend and one female friend that swears she’s willing to follow me for a week next deer season with a video camera. I’ve had some other individuals swear/promise a week of videoing that fell through. So I have my doubts but I’m willing to pay a premium for a quality videographer to follow me for a week in the ADK’s. With my disabilities I know my time/prime is dwindling. When I get on a fresh track that looks promising I feel like I’m 20 again but after 5-10 days I feel the same old thing I feel like in 33 with a severe spinal disorder. Pretty much what some restaurants are doing it up here, when I was in one yesterday there was probably 5 other couples/families there. The restaurant probably has 50 tables over 3 rooms and there was 1 other group in the section I was in. I just can’t stand the fact that we have to sneak around to do these things and that the owners are risking fines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It’s just sad that I went in Lowe’s today and it was absolutely packed but I had to “sneak” in the back door of a barber shop. It makes zero sense! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I love America and our willingness to say F*** the man. Last night I sat down in a family owned restaurant and had dinner like a normal human being. This morning I got my hair cut at a barber shop. There seems to be people and businesses everywhere that are all done playing the stupid games and are ready to get their lives back to normal. It sure feels good to be getting back to a normal life! Wasn’t the trolling, I love trolling. The fact you’re using a hand winch with stupid heavy line and leaders with a 2x4 of a rod that’s mounted to the corner of the boat. The one captain we went with let us use stand-up tackle and that was a lot more fun. But most captains don’t do that because they want to get the fish in as soon as possible to get their checks. I’ve done it and completely agree! We did a a family tuna trip for 5 year’s caught them all but 1 year. I only went because they liked going. I think tuna fishing is extremely boring! I mated part time on a sport fishing boat out of Morehead NC for a few years. We ran charters and fished marlin tournaments from Maryland to the Bahamas. There’s not much that swims in the blue water that I haven’t caught, there’s nothing I’ve ever tangled with that fights anywhere near a wahoo. A spring king on the big lake is still my favorite. I tracked and killed a Tom in 2004 in the Catskills on May 2nd in 7” of fresh snow. Maybe my favorite turkey hunt ever. Followed that bird for 3 hrs before he finally went to a spot where I could put the sneak on him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Day 7 in a row but the first one that I haven’t had a new hunter with me. Got a few different places to try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Completely agree jay, I actually had this conversation today with a new hunter I’ve been helping this year. I’ve killed most of my full moon birds between 10-12. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup, I don’t know how many you gotta kill before you lose the gotta kill feeling but I know I’ve passed it. The same with deer hunting, I don’t care if I ever kill another critter the rest of my life I just live for the hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve fished them from the Troy dam down to stattsburg, done very well trolling with the tigers and dipsey’s. To be honest although I’ve done it I get bored easily when fishing with live bait so I’ve probably never given it a fair chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I always hear people say this and have tried it numerous times and have never done well, do way better trolling with spoons and stick baits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
