  1. I’ve bought and sold hundreds, still have a way more than I’ll ever need. I buy guns for 2 reasons, to make money or to keep. Keep ones don’t get sold, money makers go as soon as I find a buyer. Problem is I buy way more to keep than I do to sell. Now that person to person sales are illegal without an FFL it’s taken a lot of fun out of the buying and selling game so I don’t do it nearly as much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This is a joke right? Remember what happened with Trumps proposed travel ban back in January? He attempted to get ahead of it and got called a racist. Then he tried down playing it then the left says he’s responsible for the deaths. I’m not defending the guy he’s far from my favorite president but I think he’s doing a very good job with what he has to deal with! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. It wouldn’t even be close! They would be churching up how good of a job they were doing if they were doing the exact same things Trump has done. As a “Democrat” I can honestly say that the media was the driving force that drove me from my party. Honestly that’s the biggest problem I have with anyone on the left. If they aren’t smart enough to realize they are being played then there is no help for them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Now for that device I agree with you, however cover fire in a day to day situation is very possibility. What if there’s a group of people cornered in a mass shooting situation. Someone with a firearm that can start sending bullets in bad guys direction to get the others to cover or out of the area is a very real thing. That’s actually the entire reason I carry a spare magazine on a day to day basis. If there’s ever a scenario that I need more than 12 rounds in the first mag to shoot bad guys I’ll never draw my pistol to begin with. However if I have to use a mag to keep bad guys head down to get me and mine out of the spot I don’t want to be without ammo afterwards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I can’t speak for others but for me it’s not a apocalypse hoarding issue at all. I just shoot a lot, I enjoy shooting and don’t want to be in a position where I can’t. So if we have another long shortage like we all went through years ago I don’t have to change my shooting hobbies. I also shoot enough and have a good storage system so I never have to worry about my ammo getting old. I know guys that have thousands of rounds stored for for the governmental failure and like you I don’t see ammo ever being the big issue when that happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I noticed that too, interesting to know how much of it is biological as to social habits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have a couple 358’s that I’ve had rebored from 308’s. It’s a good cartridge but ammo can be tricky to find and expensive when you do. I also have a 338fed from back when that was the rage but it’s never been in the woods and haven’t shot it or even looked at it in probably 10 years. There was a time when I bought every pump I found when they were cheap and haven’t bought one now in a few years other than some special editions here and there. I couldn’t even tell you how many I own now but it’s way more than I’ll ever need. Is your 35rem one of Grices? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I can’t remember the brand but I buy my boat batteries at BJ’s and have had great luck with them. Had optimas in the boat at one time and didn’t notice enough of a difference to make them worth the price. With 3 boats and 10 batteries, they get expensive. I try to rotate them out of the main fishing boat after 4 years and generally can get a couple years out of them in the dump trailer and the little boat after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yes, you should have, I have 2 one with wood and one with the adjustable M4 stock. They are by far my favorite guns I own for playing around, I wouldn’t want to know the round count on my wood one but I know it’s a lot, we’ll into the 5 digits. I’m sure it could use a re barrel but still shoots good enough for what I do with it. I reload for the whelen, most of them that I plink with are basically a “gallery load” 100gn .38 round nose at 1000fps. I reload basically the same load for the 35rem but I don’t shoot them as much in that because they’re isn’t as many of them around and I don’t want to wear them out. The 35rems are a joy to shoot! The whelen definitely bites but the deer don’t seem to like them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. A lot, and not enough. I shoot my carry gun a couple times a week sometimes only a mag and sometimes 500+. My deer rifles I shoot pretty regularly as well. Last year I shot a little over 3500 rounds from Remington pump center fires. Majority being .223 and 35whelens. I could carry those numbers for a few years and not have to buy/ reload a single round. Ammo’s like stocks you have to buy it when it’s low because you know it’s going to go up and I don’t want to be without and I didn’t want to have to buy it when it’s high. 11. With training it can be very effective, back before I became a cripple and was still running and gunning over seas we would regularly do balloon drills. Staple 3 6” balloons on a target frame up and down and a few inches apart and shoot 3 balloons with a 3 round burst “3 rounds one pull of trigger” at room clearing distances. A fast Rate of fire can be very useful in both offensive and defensive operations. Not to mention it’s a very well proven fact that multiple hits on target in rapid succession greatly improves the effectiveness of a given projectile. Not to get too scientific but if you can put a bullet into tissue that is already expanded from a temporary wound channel the tissue is exponentially less likely to return to normal. This is the reason why double taps “hammered pairs” are so important for self defense training. On the civilian side I would never have a AR with a bump stock beside my bed for home protection but I like the idea of having one around just in case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. With the crazy times and many people being out of work how many are going to be turkey hunting that don’t usually have the time? If you’re a public land hunter around a city I have to imagine there’s going to be a lot more hunters in the woods this turkey season then we are used to seeing. This isn’t a complaint at all it’s always good to get people in the woods, I’m just wondering if anyone on here will be getting out more than usual? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. What are you looking for, I’m sure if I looked in the cabinet i could find you what you’re looking for if it’s a 12ga. I haven’t hunted with a 12 in years but still have all my old shells. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Camo guns catch hunters, they don’t matter to game. If the bird is looking at my blued and wood gun it’s already way too late for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
