    Love the heart and my son thinks its the best thing ever. I trim slice and fry in a pan in butter. So good! I tried pickling once but was not a fan.

    Out back for a morning sir Put my nephew up in the tower. He shot his first deer there a couple years back. It’s had some upgrades. I’m sure he will like the buddy heater! Hope he sees something. I’m down in the far stand. Snow is still noisy as all heck. It’s basically a sitting game till this crunch leaves which may be April lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    So we had about the poorest opening weekend we can remember. We had 6 of us across 3 properties and opening day saw 4 deer no shots. Second day we were down to 4.5 of us and saw 6 deer, I had the only shot op and I missed. I am not doing well this season lol. Now it will be working hard to make the freezers look a lot better!

    Bow is done. Had a good season for sightings for me. I saw 15 bucks one for every 5.3 hours in stand. And I saw a deer for every 2 hours in stand. Much better than the last couple of years. My time in the stand was down a bit. I hunted 79.5 hours. I would have to call the season a success but I am disappointed in me lol. I took a solid doe early and put myself in the right place to take a good buck but screwed the shot so it is what it is. Onto fun with the gun!!

    11/16 am Hunted in the far stand for 3 hours in the morning saw one flat top but small. pm Down in the outer hole stand for 1.5 saw one small flat top way up ridge.

    11/15 Out in the far stand. Saw one well out not sure what it was. Then had one come right in to 5 yards. A small buck, 4 point with junk lol. He posed and said shoot me for 5 minutes before easing away.

    Sorry to hear. Dogs are one of my favorite part of life except that their lifespan is so short we end up saying good bye to too many of them.

    If you know the property well I would see if you can figure out where you think he laid down again. What are the possible exit routes and could a poster or two be slipped in quietly incase he is alive and moves? Either way it is a dead deer if you do not have property issues. Staying on a track in snow is easy, its just the finishing now. GL man

    I usually wear just very thin ones and use a muff. I did pick up a little thicker pair this year and was highly impressed by these so far. I do not like heavy gloves.     So I owe the state of NY $ for the tree I shot today instead of the doe I was aiming at![emoji1785][emoji1745]‍[emoji3603] 20 yards and from the same stand I missed that nice buck in bow.
