Couple cool picks. Most seem to be hard horned over the past week.

I think if you are newer to the bow practice is more important. I've shot so many arrows over the years without changing my form that the muscle memory is there. I still try to shoot 2-3 times a week for the month leading up to the season and I shoot a practice shot from my stand a lot of days before I get down during the season. Always want to make sure I didn't get the sight outa whack somehow. But that said I can pick up the bow, like I did this year, after 7 months of not shooting and shoot a 2 inch group at 30 yards. If you are changing bows, arrows, broad heads or your form you should be shooting a lot more than me.

Went fishing on the nicer weekend day Saturday so worked in the rain Sunday. Had to put in a new 4x4 post for the gate at the Hole property and got 3/4 of the trails cleared out and stands checked. I got one more stnd to do yet. Fletched a few arrows and broke down and finally ordered a Lone Wolf. Will get the hunting clothes out this week to spray with Sawyers.

Wow this just sucks. Hate seeing them suffer, mother nature can be cruel. I fee l for you guys who hunt these areas.

They went to China made for a couple years and caught a LOT of flack so moved manufacturing back to the states. You may have a China one? You can research online to find out how to tell.

Cameras are a wonderful investment. Even a $90 doorbell cam that sends pics to your phone for free is a cheap alternative. Even if they take/destroy cam the images are already in the cloud. I hate thieves and think cutting off hands would be a great warning to others! Hope you make a recovery. But if not get a gun raffle going to get proceeds to replace your guns and upgrade the security. I will buy a ticket!

I regularly get yotes on my cams and plenty of deer. They do not bother the population much. I have seen deer walk by 5 minutes after a yote. That said I will keep them thinned out as well as they raise hell with the turkeys and small game.

On ag land where you have tons and tons of doe I doubt it would matter. My properties are small and absolutely no ag.

I won’t do it again on any of my properties. On public I would. Years ago I shot a hog of an old doe. She was with a group of 6. That changed the deer patters on my property and over a decade later and still never returned to those patterns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
