10/14 pm 62 Changed my mind at 5am and decided to do afternoon hunt. Didn't pan out lol. Sat 2 hours in the field edge stand past the Hole. Big zippola!

In position as well! This is a nice spot where I shot the nice 8 late last year. It might end up a better gun stand but I owe it a few sits. 10/13 pm 60 Got out in the far stand out back for the last two hours. Quiet night after a morning of rain. Saw two doe too far out about 30 minutes before sunset. I'll be out in the morn somewhere in the hole.

Agree with most on here. When I started hunting in the early 80s you’d hear hundreds of shots and see piles of hunters opening week and Thanksgiving weekend. These days nothing in comparison. Most of my spots after the opener are not hit very hard. Seems a lot of my spots get hit harder by better hunters in bow to tell truth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tried to add up all the things you need and it seems for a good setup your talking $750 or more for gear. What have you guys spent on your total gear. And are most of you carrying 3-4 sections of sticks and a platform as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve had a buck here I shot once left 7 hours overnight and nothing left but hide and bones. 3-4-5 yotes can make quick work of a deer. Other times I’ve seen them take days or more. I put a cam over a winter kill and had a pair visit that carcass for weeks. They would dig down into the snow and eat off it and lay around. Then not return for days. 10/8 43 Nice cold morn. Jumped one right off the back lawn going in.... Sat 2 hours and saw nothing but a glimpse of a fisher. Then jumped one on way out. pfft I will not get out again until next week. Off on R&R in the Dacks.

I’m not having that issue Chris lol! Then again I’ve rarely shot one prior to around 10/21. I have not been this chilly since last year! All I’ve seen is a fisher this morn. There were deer moving before it got light. Maybe some hot coffee will bring em in! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

10/7 pm 62 Went to the new stand past the hole that I shot the 8 outa late last year. It was windier than I thought but I hoped it would lessen up before dark. Sat two hours and saw zip. While I first got up in stand I was putting on my jacket and a lost liner sock was static stuck inside when I washed the other day and went flying to the ground. I figured I would grab it when I got down. Of course I forgot until half way to truck. So turned around 5 minutes back to stand. So been gone 10 minutes and jumped two deer coming out in front of stand rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr One had a big ass lol. Will let that stand cool off till next week.

I am a junkie too lol My fav pocket light to walk in out after dark though needs green tint. This is my reg use. Low lumens on the white though so I have a dif in my pack for trailing.
