    The site isnt updated much but it seems the club is very much active and alive. I think they need a web master though

    Deer population - Is it growing or is it over hunted in new york? From reading other posts here and there some say its over hunted... The season is to long, to many DMP's, etc etc. But some say its still growing. Is there any way to tell? What do you guys think?

    With deer we always talk about rack size, weight, age.... Now with a bear, how do you know what is a "good" shooter bear? I mean I see people taking stuff from 200 to 500+. How can you tell a bear is a Sow or not? Is there something easy to detect from far away?

    Welp, How do you gut a bear??? Is it Like a deer or? Just would like to know, just in case one creeps in during the season.

    Same, herd mid August to Late August, but depends on weather, food, etc.

    Anyone have a used cheap muzzleloader, pref with a scope under $200? CVA wolf or something of the sort? Let me know price and wear and tear, pics would be great.

    Agree! NYS is so far behind. Its pitiful as burm said that you have more rights in other states as a NON RESIDENT! then you do as a tax paying, law abiding, license holding pistol owner in your on damn state. Its about time a solid lawsuit was brought up because its sickening and it IS against OUR second amendment rights that are being trounced on.

    So, How do you walk into the woods in pitch darkness? Small light, big light, no light? I carry a head lamp that straps to my head, keeps the hand free.

    I'm not a big fan of the dark... Its freakly out there at night! The mind plays games! Every time I walk to my stand in pitch dark, i hear crap running and making noise all the time... It makes the hairs stand up!
