  1. It's not just about cutting teachers pay.. it's about cutting the budgets period... making schools work within their means... we don't need million dollar sports fields, lavish teachers lounges, electric sign banners outside the schools... olympic pools, weight rooms that rivals major health clubs... school buses manufactured my Mercedes... etc. etc. ... I have a better idea... get the taxpayers together to create the budget... instead of school boards... when it's your money being spent it's much easier to make the cuts that are needed...
  2. much like alchohol, fatty foods, too much sugar, automobile exhaust... the list goes on and on.. so why cherry pick one potential health risk? Because they were the ones with the most money when it came to filing law suits.. there just wasn't enough money in french fries and fruit loops..lol
  3. Would sitting next to my gutted out buck with it's tongue hanging out be considered "damaging"? Guilty as charged then!
  4. Worry about what? Hunting in my neighbors back yard? I don't see where it is remotely necessary for any hunter to have to hunt in a residential area... especially with all the access to state land... like Doc says.. there may be isolated situations where something drastic might have to be done if deer are taking over the neighborhood... but I would never move into a neighborhood with the intention it being my new hunting spot just because there are deer there... what's next?.. fishing in my neighbors fish tank because there are too many fish in it?
  5. What we don't see is teachers standing up against any of what you have just pointed out... they just continue to buy into what ever is handed to them... All of what you have said is true... but what are you doing about it... the rest of us taxpayers are voicing our opinions, while the teachers just go along with the status quo... you are the ones teaching kids to fill in bubbles... and not teaching kids about life skills.. how much louder do taxpayers have to scream before your precious unions and school boards pay attention... if you're so concerned, then you should be screaming just as loud, but we all know you're not... what the teachers are good at is "take the money and run" and crying about how tough their part-timee job is..
  6. You are still missing the point... this is not about jealousy.. and it has already been said that many would take the same opportunities if offered... this is about the public sector taking private sector money and doing with it what they will without the permission of the people that gave them the money... If the people provide the money and say that teachers should make 100K a year.. then so be it... but the people don't have a say... what the people have said is that they are sick and tired of paying out money to the private sector for things that they don't get for themselves... its that simple.. and not hard to understand. Well, for any rational person!
  7. Some of you guys kill me.. everything is a conspiracy... LOL
  8. Anyone hear the Cuomo commercial? NY is #1 in the US for per student dollars spent and is ranked 38 out of 50 states for percentage of students that graduate... hmmm... yeah, lets just keep throwing money into the school system... I mean, it's working so well.. don't you think?
  9. The real kick in the azz is that if you stop paying your property or school taxes... regardless of the reason... your house can be sold out from under you... doesn't matter how much you spent on the house... how much money you've put in it... doesn't even matter that you own it outright with no mortgage... the government can take it away from you... tell me what is fair about that??
  10. It won't overtake the Surdi Buck.. still a nice buck though.
  11. I for one absolutely do not care what anti-hunters think... period. I will never not do something because I'm afraid of how they might view it... and all non-hunters are not anti hunting... they simply just don't hunt.
  12. Absolutely! What you fail to realize is that although there is freedom of speech... that in no way says that you can use that speech to make threats to the government or anyone for that matter without repercussion... same as yelling "fire" in a crowded theatre... come on virgil.. you're smarter than that... Aren't you???
  13. That is absolutely right... Charles Manson should never own a gun... or a nuke... Iran is the Manson of the world... and should never be allowed a nucleur weapon... especially since we know their intent if they get one.. they have already told the world their intentions...
  14. Oh No.. the drive by teachers are gone again... hard to keep shootin' with out any ammo..lol...
  15. Did you really say that we should choose not to own our own home so that you can continue to enjoy your lavish taxpayer funded lifestyle without anyone to call you out for wasting our hard earned money?....How about as free people we should be able to enjoy owning our own home and still have a say about how our tax dollars are spent??... and you wonder where all the animosity comes from?? you still haven't gotten that it isn't just how good teachers have it,,, its that its on the backs of the taxpayers who have no say in the matter.
  16. Easy there Elmer .. you don't want to confuse these these teachers with the real facts..LOL

    172 buck

After seeing the other pics.. he'll gross 170.. but he will net 150 class... what a great buck!!!
  18. Honestly, you can't blame the teachers for taking what is being offered to them... I must say that in the same position I probably would as well.. the difference would be that I couldn't with a straight face say that I didn't know it was wrong and that I deserved to make more money and get better benefits than the people paying me.
  19. I usually am not an alarmist when it comes to not seeing game some years.. and I'm not even sure that turkey numbers are down... but i will admit that I haven't seen the amount of turkeys I usually see this time of year... but my eyes aren't what they use to be..LOL
  20. I wouldn't be against an hourly wage with a punch clock... at least then I wouldn't be paying some of them for the 180 days they don't work.
  21. I'm with you Larry... most of the streams I fish have native brookies only and occasionally I'll catch a fat 10 incher with a hook jaw... and that is huge trophy in those streams... I take a pic of it and back in the water it goes

    172 buck

that buck is not 190.. but if the other side is the same as the left side... that is 170 all day long..
  23. Think about it... the schools get Federal, State and Local money (taxes collected by each entity) and the teachers unions decide how the money is dispersed... ie. the salaries, benefits and retirements... we are led to believe that the money goes for better education... yet we all know that isn't happening... certainly not any better than when I was in school... but that aside... the bottom line is the people pay.. but really have no say. I would be like a me as a contractor taking money to remodel your kitchen then asking your neighbor how they would like me to do your kitchen... and having them come up with a plan that is way beyond your budget... then coming back to you to ask for more money so I can do your kitchen the way your neighbor wants it done... I am pretty sure that would piss you off
