A man that hunts and golfs with his wife is a man that doesn't get to go to deer hunting camp with the boys or golf in a tournament with the boys...without the wife getting all pissed off... and if you say different... you know you're lying..lol I will say though.. if my wife wants to hunt.. I'm all for it... she just better have a girlfriend that likes to hunt so she'll have some company.

Yeah.. but hunting and fishing doesn't necessarily have to be one of the tasks... my wife multi tasks just fine ... we enjoy other things together and because she doesn't hunt and golf with me... I don't try to get involved with the things she likes to do with her girlfriends...

tone has to do with thickess of the sides.. tapering them thinner at the top works good... allows for better vibration of the wood.. kinda like the principle behind a violin.. its all about the thickness.... AND the type of wood.... certain woods resonate better than others... trial and error will get you there.

I had corned goose once... it was terrific.. it is the only way I have ever liked goose..... not sure how the guy did it but I'm sure it's similar to making corned beef..

I'm with SteveNY.. my kinda woman goes to the spa instead of hunting or golfing with me... the kitchen is another good place for her to spend time as well.. then in the laundry room... then the bedroom... thats a perfect woman. I know, I know that sounds sexist.. but I never once made my wife fix the furnace when it was broken, lay in 6" of freezing cold water to change the sump pump... repair the roof... paint the house.. shovel the driveway... or change the oil in her car... everyone has their job to do... mine is hunting, fishing and golfing... along with the others I just mentioned..lol

Not sure how anyone figures Tebow doesn't have what it takes... they don't just hand out the Heisman Trophy to anyone. Sometimes it just takes a bit for a guy to shine in the NFL. he certainly has the talent and the ambition.. now he just needs playing time.

I have seen a buck run along side an 8 ft fence then clear that thing like it wasn't even there.. most impressive thing I think I've ever seen.. I would have never believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes... in fact I'd have bet money that it couldn't happen.. and i would have lost!!

I have had 3 such friends that are no longer with me... some people will never have the chance to meet these kind of men in their lifetime... I understand exactly how you feel... I still miss my buddies especially during those special times in the woods or on the stream... there is so much to learn from these old timers.

If taxpayers started a campaign to eliminate unnecessary jobs in the public sector... lots of fat could be cut right away...

It is true that as budgets get in line teachers will lose their jobs... jobs that probably shouldn't have been there in the first place and will most likely have no effect on the students... it is not about the teachers anyway, it's about the students... more teachers, more money doesn't equal better education for the students.. it only equals more taxes for the taxpayers... doing more with less tends to bring out the best in people anyway.

No I must honestly say I am not swinging a hammer at 10 pm... I'm usually writing up estimates or doing other paperwork that I don't have time for during the 8-10 hour work day when I am swinging a hammer and I do that every week all year long... and you teachers always seem to know those couple teachers that go the extra mile... well.. I know a few of them too.. but I know way more that don't go the extra mile, and only work 6 hrs a day, and work nine months a year at full time pay bitching the whole time about how tough they have it... I would love to have all the holidays and summer off... but if I did that... I wouldn't get paid and wouldn't be able to pay the taxes that make it possible for the teacher to get paid for holidays and summer break... spin it how you like.. but you no longer are fooling us taxpayers.

Isn't this the reason that most people become educators? LOL... Not any more... they like the big money for part-time work... its hard to even get teachers to stay after school any more for extracurricular activities... they are usually in their cars and home before the kids get on the bus to go home. I love how everyone has agendas!!! Teachers in this forum are scum, unitelligent, and money hungry... except when it's someone they know or are related to them. Then all of a sudden they are becoming teachers because they want to truly make a difference in a student's life. I'm pretty sure you just answered your first question here... obviously you don't think his wife is sincere about why she wants to teach.. so you must think that is not the reason most people become educators Let me ask you this, when your finance gets a teaching job, is she going to take the outlandish benefits and salary? Or is she going to simply volunteer because she doesn't care about the money? I had a chance to see the Giarraputo Buck in person during our annual Big Buck Club meeting Saturday and it looks like it will be the new NYS Archery Non-typical record... I believe the panel score netted 210 and some change beating the Surdi Buck by about 5 inches... more info to follow...

Ahhh , I remember it well... was proud of my sons back then too.. as should you be... it was a fun time for father and sons...thats great!
