Likewise... several years ago while coaching lacrosse I had an irrate parent attack me during a game because I took his kid out of the game... long story short... I had to defend myself and he didn't fair to well and ended up in the hospital.. HE filed assault charges against ME... I was acquitted a few months later.. but the court resolution hadn't been filed yet when the local authorities showed up at my home to take my handguns.. it took me 4 months and a trip to court to get them back... which the judge did immediately upon reading the facts in the case.. thats how easy it can happen

There wil always be exceptions to the rule.. no matter what the rule.. and the 1.5 year old that you shot with a greater spread didn't have antlers that big...any experienced hunter knows that is a shooter buck and a non experienced hunter would think its a monster..like I said the problem with most AR's is that hunters always want to find a reason why not to have them instead of why to have them.

I have so much footage that I have taken over the years.. much of which was done on high 8 film.. I need to get all of that footage converted so that I can put it on the computer.. this year I'm going digital

AR.. IMO .. is only necessary to produce a more balanced age structure among bucks... allowing for a good representation of bucks in each age group... if its just done just to grow big bucks then it really isn't necessary at all... the idea is to better balance ratios and create a hierarchy with older more mature bucks doing the breeding... Using 3 on a side restrictions. or even a 1 buck rule, does not protect enough yearling bucks to accomplish what the original idea of antler restriction was designed to do...And the original AR was never a point restriction, but rather a spread restriction because it was determined that at the time that was a better means of judging an older buck in the field. The greatest obstacle to AR is hunters being more concerned with killing bucks close to the minimum restricts.. They get hung up on how they will be able to tell if the buck is just over the limit or if it is under the limit. Most huntersare unwilling to pass on something that could go either way and to only be concerned with bucks that positively make the limit

I'm actually a registered independent, but consider myself a conservative... I have recently found myself backing away from government in general... at least the way ours has been beating on the me for most of my adult life... I have a huge problem with them making decisions about my life because they don't live the same life as me... they live in an elite world where everything is given to them by us... I hate paying for a their over the top health plan that I don;t have but I pay for them to have.. their generous pensions that I don;t have that I pay for them to have.. and so on and so on... i'm sick of paying taxes for things to get done only to have them squander the money on lavish trips, dinners, and other self serving stuff... then they have the nerve to tell me that I need to tighten my belt and give more money so they can get me out of the mess they got me in that I already paid money for them to take care of.. it's sickening...

AR is not hypothetical.. its been applied in many states... the fact that the DEC has only implemented AR in a few areas in NY... is based on their opinion of need and want for any WMU... it isn't that they think the concept isn't valid.. it's more them trying to juggle the need and want of the NY hunter.

I on the other hand have never really heard anything worth listening to from younger people... although I have listened.. It usually was a waste of my time.. sorry

one thing I learned as an older man is that I should have shut up and listened more as a yonger man.. now i think I have earned the right to speak because I have experienced much more.. and still i know enough to shut up and listen sometimes when someone older than me is talking... now that doesn't mean the older guys are always right.. but I promise that you have nothing to teach me about life, but I'm sure your grandfather might

The lying is bad enough.. but the blatant misuse of our money with the audacity to come back and ask for more money to misuse again is where I have drawn the line... I own my own business.. I have to pay $1400 to get health insurance while politicians get free health insurance on my dime... I don't have an expense account paid for by anyone else but myself yet I fit the bill for a politician to travel around the world at no cost to them. I work nearly 300 days a year while the politician is on the job for about 180 and he/she makes twice as much money as me. I simply want my trash picked up and my road plowed but it costs me $6000 dollars a year in property taxes to get it done. When I dial my phone I get taxed, when I buy a new set of tires NY takes a tax, I am taxed on my utilities, my income, and the registration to drive my truck. I pay a tax to have water, and sewer hookup... then i am taxed so that my kids can attend school... I save for retirement only to have wall street set me back 10 years while politicians get a nice fat pension on my dime. Ok I better stop I'm gonna throw up

I can't say that I dislike anyone young man (well maybe Nancy Pelosi and Harry Ried)... and I certainly don't dislike you... I don't even know you.. it would take far more than an opinion on this forum to make me dislike someone.. I have the same arguments with close friends who have differences of opinion on certain subjects... don't take it personal.
