  1. They were chasing them out of Albany today using all sorts of odd things. Surrounding areas are getting swamped with crows today. Congrats on the buck growalot! Glad he's not stinky.
  2. I could deal with something like that in the regions 4 WMU's.
  3. Yeah, thanks for chiming in. Your "tactical" shotgun doesn't fit this thread. I was referring to those of us using actual smooth bore field barrels.
  4. Those look like the same ones Dinsdale pointed out.
  5. Are you talking about these 10point? https://www.truglo.com/firearms-tactical/tfx-pro-remington-shotgun-sights.asp?catid=85782AB719C042A394366B7DDEB2FF93
  6. Thanks for the tip Jay. Might try them out of I get another chance to do any target shooting. I am all for anything that improves accuracy. I will have to look these up as well. Thanks for this tip as well.
  7. Nice. I am just using basic Win 2-3/4" Super X Hollows. They are OK out to 60yds (tested), 4" group. But, with nothing more then a fiber optic bead, I can't expect much better.
  8. Well, that's the best I have for a cop hating, white people hating, anti gun, likes drug dealers, lives for chaos and anarchy, ...... Creature. I would call you a POS hater, but you will run cry and get me a mini vacation from the site. Oh wait, I already said it. Too late. If I get a mini vacation, I have a favor to ask of the few that have my phone number, please text me how Upchuck makes out on opening weekend for gun. Please! Even just a text that he was in the woods, a pic of his stand..Something!
  9. I was going to say that. LOL . But, not many people posting up pics of eagles, so these are great too.
  10. Anyone on here shooting rifled slugs through smooth bore field barrels anymore? Asking as they do not make a slug barrel for my shotgun ( never planned on deer hunting with a shotgun again. bought it as a small game/turkey gun, but, one area I am hunting is shotgun only ), so all I have is the 28" FB with an IC choke. I know this set up is time proven, just curious how many others still hunt with a basic barrel and slugs.
  11. And your typical response it to insult peoples wives and wish harm on anyone who doesn't agree with your ideals. That shows a lot of intelligence from you doesn't it? You aren't even worthy of being called a troll. 'Deplorable' is more of a proper sentiment.
  12. You look grumpy enough to scare a deer to death in the selfie wooly, no need for the x-bow. Hope you get the deer you are after.
  13. Public. Like I said in another thread, it depends if I go solo. If the g/f goes, I will be carrying a Howa in 7mm-08. If just me, Axis in .25-06.
  14. DEC cannot give out that information. Guessing you found the tag? So, I agree with what raymerlo said.
  15. Hmmm....This depends on a few things..... If the g/f goes out with me or not, if so (1a), Howa Ranchland 7mm-08 using Hornady AW 139gr InterLock, if not (1b) I will take out the Axis .25-06 using Hornady AW 117gr InterLock.
  16. Haven't hit PR yet, maybe for the gun season. Been hunting a small area very close to home, BCM twice. Been trying to stay in 4B to fill at least one doe tag. I did get over to TP twice as well. Not sure if I am ready to hang the bow up just yet, might try a couple more morning sits tomorrow and Thursday.
  17. Yes you will. If you want to keep up with the "cool kids" you post from the woods. LOL As for apps, look at the reviews on the hunting apps. Better the review, better the app works in most cases.
  18. Hit three different public lands today. Nothing sitting the morning, nothing still hunting/scouting the afternoon, and nothing this evening. Either tomorrow or Tuesday will probably be my last hunts with the bow. I really have to put focus on getting good areas where the g/f has a shot at a deer. I want her to drop one her first year out.
