Well here goes, and I know I will get flack for this........ I have nothing against NICS or people having to pass a criminal background check to own a gun. The only people who I feel have an issue with this are people who probably can't legally own a gun. I don't think it's unconstitutional to have this in place. Yeah, NICS gets bogged down a lot, but that's fine with me. If you are good to go a few day wait shouldn't really bother you. ____________________________________________________________________ Now, onto this stupid "Assault Weapon" BS! I think people need to grow up as far as AR Platform and the like rifles! They are sporting rifles just like any other semi-auto rifle, they just look different. They are not full auto! I am not even going into the "Cuomo Act" right now. I am all for "sensible" gun control. Unfortunately, there is no sense to it. They can make all the laws they want, 'sensible' or not, it will not keep guns out of criminals hands. But, I am also on the odd side here as I think we should all be allowed "Constitutional Rights". Pass NICS and if you want a handgun, then get one. Let the responsible gun owners have the guns they have a right to own!

Well, seeing is I have heard some guys refer to women as 'birds', I would say this would be bad as well.

I'm old school paranoid about arrow length. I have never and never will draw a razor blade behind my wrist. So I have always shot an inch or so longer then my draw. That's my personal demon, but I have never had an issue. I also prefer a little heft over speed. Always shot 125 grain tips and broad heads. The slight amount of speed I loose is acceptable for a little better kinetic energy at POI. But, this is just the way I do things. Try a few different arrows and broad heads and see what you feel is the best for you.

LOL, Sorry.

Attack on Ataturk Airport, InstanBul
DirtTime replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
More like the religion of blowing people to pieces or hacking them to pieces. I have to check but last I heard before changing the channel from anger and depression they weren't ruling out the other radical groups yet. Doesn't matter who did it, they are all worthless scum!!!! -
We needed the rain bad, but dang, we got caught in one of the down pours coming back from the new place. I wasn't driving and my hands hurt from clenching my fists.

As for state forests, some allow target shooting and other's don't. I would check that forests specific regulations just to make sure. Many hunters on here from down state that should be able to help out with a local archery range locations though.

Welcome to the site. Be sure to check out the beer thread, it's a right of passage. Just kidding.

Anyone on here named Scott Allen?
DirtTime replied to mike rossi's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I stayed on topic, just asked why you would post a reply to the comment here and not where it was originally. Being able to see the actual article or have the name of the paper would help seeing the comment by Scott was made 5 months ago. -
Thanks grampy. I also have some Panthers and Saints memorabilia going in there as well.

Thank you NFA-ADK Actually the carpet was the fault of Lowes. They first told us they had the one we wanted in stock in 15', but, they didn't, only 12'. It's close in color. That has turned into a giant issue over all. Just like Time Warner saying they covered the area only to call this morning and say they were mistaken. WTF! I still get my office space, so that will have my Bills and Mets beer cans, and other guy stuff. I joke, but to be honest I don't care about the decor, and long as it's not pink. At this point I just want things behind us and move forward.

Small Game Public Land Recommendations
DirtTime replied to BKhunter's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
I think it varies on where you live in the state. The only one thing is that everyone from LI and the NYC area considers everything else up-state. Here's my personal thought on it. -
See, even the mention of gas makes people run away. LOL Oh, and this:
-
LOL! Na that wasn't me. Even if I swung that way I would never have any luck. The term "Exit Only" would be explosive to many due to really bad gas.

Good lord in Heaven! Now I am hearing the banjo from Deliverance as the wedding song for you two.

Eat 'em raw, just let them slide down the hatch. LOL. If I had my way I would eat clams, oysters, and mussels a couple times a week.

Just a couple 18oz buds. Right from the bottle, all the glasses are packed up.

Will keep the taps dripping a bit once it gets cold. Thanks for the heads up. Went out this morning and took out the nasty old carpet. I just don't get how people can live with a stained up carpet. Gross! New carpet is scheduled for Thursday. Man, I hope they stay on schedule. Not much room to put furniture out of the way if they don't. Bought our kitchen table and chairs today as well. Fits good in the kitchen and matches the cabinets. The g/f ordered curtains, cushions for the kitchen chairs ( yes, I like comfy chairs! ), the portable AC unit, and God knows what else. I gave up. I didn't even get the carpet I wanted after all. Over it. I'm just letting her do her thing. I did tell her if the place looks all dainty I will buy a small camper trailer and live in the back yard. LOL Buying the new sofa on Wednesday for pick up Saturday while we still have the moving truck. Can't wait until this is over and we are settled in at least a little. I would rather un-pack then pack. Looking forward to drinking a cold beer Saturday night in my own home and hoping the local pizza joint makes a decent pie. Edited for spelling.

Does this site pull up for you?
DirtTime replied to phade's topic in Advertisers / Site Sponsors Area
Did you use Cinema 4D or other software to create that phade ( if I may ask )? Looks great! -
Spicy kielbasa with German sauerkraut and a pasta salad.

Miss Piggy already ate Kermits 'leg's. I bet they had lint balls attached. Just sayin'.

The only thing better then cooking in cast iron is low and slow over campfire coals. Looks great Skillet, enjoy.
