    I have also, but one has to price check as I have found cheaper on other sites than amazon with free shipping. But yes they usually are cheap.

    So for me I watch when midway has their free shipping on anything over $50 dollar purchases. I’ve spent $400 in last few months on reloading supply’s and they had their brand of hooded sweatshirts on sale for $18. That’s a steal for a 2xl tall sweatshirt, and they are very warm and sized correct. And they have tons of stuff up to 75% off. So where have you found good deals at ?

    When I cut up my my deer i get the hide off ASAP . So I have a old pair of leather gloves I wear that allows me to get a good hold of the slippery inside of the hide. I get the hide started by cutting around the neck and front legs then grab ahold and pull down to the hind quarters. I have had good luck this way. I dont see why the golf ball would not work.

    Good they deserve it. when ever I have a fellow sportsman or gun owner talk about buying something from dicks / F&S. I make sure I let them know about the gun lobbyist they have on their board. Many don’t know.

    I think the biggest thing is no one has the land to do them any more. We used to have 800 acres of woods to drive.loved doing drives..

    Wife and I are on the tail end of our jobs so not financially smart to leave and start over. But living in the finger lakes area We love it here in upstate. We like the change of seasons, and there’s lots of things for us outdoor types to do. But having said that when we retire we will be moving.

    Congrats to your dad, seeing your dad in blue jeans, man now that takes me back. I think of all the deer we have killed wearing jeans.

    Well there’s Browning , Weatherby etc. Really any of the manufactures upper grade rifles would be fine.

    Something you ought to consider is a used mid / higher end rifle, you might find one that’s a few bucks more than a new low end.
