  1. I worked out in my garage all afternoon,With my big slider door wide open. Quite the day for first of January. Planning on tomorrow going to the lease and doing some scouting.
  2. Great great band, sorry to to see him go.
  3. You would think if they wanted to move the F&S stuff they would discount it more than 10%
  4. Yeah the Store bought rad relocate kits they bend sheet metal for the mount. If you notice on the aftermarket made ones the sheet metal is bent wide enough to bolt directly to the rack bars . I don’t like the big boxy look of them , my goal was to keep it compact and mine actually has more of a set back / rake than aftermarket one. So I used the expanded steel screen for max air flow because of the rake. If I do get mud in my radiator it will be way easier to clean out on the rack . And actually the stock location of the radiator was more exposed to damage than where I have it now . Plus the store bought kit for my kodiak is $180 , I have $70 in mine. You cant see it but my rad is 1/2 inch back away from the screen ( notice in the second photo my 1/2 inch aluminum spacers on the mounting bolts between the rad and my frame. My intake tube runs under up the front of my seat and it’s higher than my crotch. And my intake and exhaust ports on my cvt are just as high. ( actually in the last photo you can see the intake of my cvt in the lower left ) I tend to stay out of mud/ water holes deeper than the top of my fenders. And if I do get into a deep one i just pull the front up for a water wheelie and that keeps everything out of the water. My goal was not to build a dedicated mud machine but to improve a few things to make it work better in the mud and still be able to pull logs move tree stands on the lease. Kinda a dual purpose atv. Plus in some states non factory snorkels are illegal .
  5. The one in Elmira is also set up the same as the old F&S , but I’ve noticed as time has gone by they are carrying some different and more things than the commie store did.
  6. You have to go in and change it to your store..
  7. I just logged in on my iPhone so it seems to be fixed
  8. same , still using work computer. rob are you using a iPhone to try to get on ?
  9. I've tried several times now on my phone, clearing my history and clearing my google history no go. I am on work computer now. this really sucks some one on hunting ny needs to fix this..
  10. Wait, one needs a excuse to buy a new gun ? Nice lever gun ...
  11. Unfortunately the switchback is cam only no mods.
  12. Really good advice ^^^ . Bow string / cable material has come a long ways and custom string builders that pre- stretch their string sets , make tuning bows easier than ever and will stay In tune longer. But all sets must have some give / stretch to them to survive being shot Several hundreds of times. Over time the system will stretch and cause all cam systems to go out of time and can lead to added draw length etc . Now a single cam like the switchback won’t go out of time with the idler but will not be in the optimum cam rotation to give the bow the smoothest best possible arrow flight and can increase draw length. Basically in a nut shell all bows will need to be tuned many of times over the course of ownership for optimum performance . Myself personally i like to change strings and cables every 3-4 years, sooner if I have a ton of shots on them .
  13. You are 100% correct. Some guys are dead set on saying adding a longer/ shorter loop only changes your anchor point . And thats correct, but for the sake of argument most will just say it’s the persons draw length, while not proper most get it .
  14. Agreed , I have big hands and that giant chunk of wood they put on there to me was horrendous. Way to much contact and possibility to torque the bow. I’ve always shot my Hoyt’s right off the riser for minimal hand contact.
  15. Lots of good advice given, another thing that one can do to tweak the bows draw is to remove the grip and shoot off the riser or install a thinner one. I know the switchback comes with the thick wood grip stock . Shrewd makes a grip that’s not as thick and you could gain some draw length .
  16. Are you 100% certain that you are a 30 inch draw ? Have you or a good shop checked you ?
  17. The switchback specs is listed that it goes to 30 inch draw, so you may be able to find a 30 inch draw cam . Now having said that, I’ve read and from working on a few of my buddy’s Mathews that they tend to run 1/4 to 1/2 inch long in the draw. While not a ideal way to get you to 30 you could run a longer loop and it may get you there. But your anchor would probably suffer a bit.
  18. Great story and deer, you are 100% right on family first.
  19. That’s awesome, our golden we had potty trained very very easily. To me that’s a sign of a smart dog.
  20. Now that’s a resume for a hunting forum. Welcome aboard , and I would love to see some photos of those guns you have collected .
  21. I actually love living where I do and what this state offers for the outdoors etc . It’s the politicians that ruin it for me.
  22. The whole state is a toilet bowl. Your end tends to be a floater though
  23. I bet you are 100% right. Let me rephrase. it’s not worth taking a deer that may be deemed illegal. When there’s legal options.
