I used a 4 blade stinger on my buck in my avatar, it was a quick awkward stance shot from my climber . I hit him a little back, high entrance low exit , took out his liver and rear of the lungs. The blood trail was very minimal, I wasn't impressed. Let him lay over night, found him 150 or so yards from shot. He was laying with the exit wound down hill and no blood on the ground. The owner of Magnus recommends the Buzzcut over the regular stinger for the better blood trails. I am using the black hornet ser-razor.

I love Rudolf, with Yukon Cornelius, the island of misfit toys , Hermey the elf that wants to be a dentist and the bumble/ abominable snowman. Wife loves the year with out a Santa clause, with Mother Nature , Cold and Heat miser.

I started my wife with target archery, then bow hunting. then gun hunting , then pistol shooting . She would say in the beginning I don’t think I could shoot a deer. Now she absolutely loves all of it. Good for her for taking a interest, and for you wanting her to . My wife became my hunting partner after my dad died before my oldest son became of age to hunt. Wouldn’t have it any other way ..

Cut in more trails, put up more stands and build a bunch of natural ground blinds. For your broad heads look at the Magnus black hornets, guys have posted some great photos of the damage they are leaving. To up my wife and sons arrow weight I installed 50 in my sons and 75 grain brass inserts in the wife’s arrows.

The first thing I noticed with the vx3 was how easy it was for me to pick up the crosshairs. And the eye relief didn't seem to be as finicky as the Simmons. But as I said that cheap scope took a lot of abuse and never flinched.

Yes it was no doubt . I couldn’t see how many were available, but they had both black and silver in blemish. After I ordered mine I went back like 4 hrs later and they were sold out.

For deer take not fantastic ( 1 doe taken), but overall hunting experience great . The wife and I had some problems this year . Wife is having shoulder problems and couldn’t climb our ladder stands. My self, as some of you know my knee is pretty messed up so it bothered me to carry my climber, so I didn’t. We had 4 ladder stands and 3 ground blinds for the 3 of us. This was our second year on or lease so still learning how the deer use it. We seen lots of deer, I had eyes on one of our shooter bucks during archery but couldn’t make it work and the wife had eyes on him during rifle but had to many doe’s eyeing her to get a shot. We learned a ton this year and will be concentrating on getting the lease set up how we want for next year.

$200 bucks cheaper, so that works out to around $50 hr. Might as well make a day of it and get lunch etc.

So to start I decided to go with a cheaper Simmons pro hunter to try at first Incase I didn’t like a scope on my SRH. The $100 I spent on the fixed 4X simmons was money well spent, I’ve sent Several hundred full tilt round’s down range and that Simmons has held zero and given me zero problems. I was going to buy a Burris because they are half the Cost to the Leupold . So a few weekends ago I’m surfing the web checking all the outdoor sporting vendors. Low and behold I go to Natchez shooter supply and they have blemish Leopold VX3 handgun scopes for $327. $650 is the normal price on them. So of course I bought one , received it today and I can’t find a scratch on it. Got it mounted up and wow oh wow typical Leupold quality ,it’s found a new home. Can’t wait to take it to the range and then of course deer season.

I’m only 49 and I don’t think I could keep up with one 20 yr old , let alone 2 in the bedroom .
