  1. This got me thinking... I have seen more doe this year than ever and less of a rut than ever. Maybe it's time to take a doe!
  2. Yep waiting on muzzleloader season. One of the better parts of deer season
  3. I would someday like to do the "real" smoking thing. Hell I cut and split enough firewood every year for a lifetime of smoking. But I'm looking for simple and good results. Mostly for venison and the occasional chicken or pork etc. Leaning toward an electric for my first smoker.
  4. Exactly. Ive seen some bruisers there over the years
  5. Hoping to keep my house standing after using this also lol, sorry to hear it pygmy.
  6. I thought about charcoal just seems ALOT easier to have the other knes( yes I'm being lazy) no adding charcoal, constantly checking temp, it just seems like I'd have to monitor the charcoal more. I do hear they taste better.
  7. A family member told me to pick a smoker for a gift, I can't decide between electric and propane. It's between these two for East of operation compared to charcoal. I've been reading but don't see a clear winner. What's your opinion?
  8. Just over a week until I have a valid tag again can't wait
  9. We saw one in person years ago in Boston NY
  10. Your mom was here on the wall and written on the floor. (Hand print, knee print) smh
  11. The bufflehead is postponed due to working late and having a mighty taco craving. What I usually do is take the breasts and marinate for a couple days in favorite dressing. Then you can wrap in bacon and grill, or you stuff with cheese and fry after breading them. Both delicious, I believe the marinating is the most important part.
  12. My lightfield sabot had a pass through with big holes on both sides from 80 this year
  13. My iPhone never lets me watch videos people post. Miss the galaxy.
  14. This inspired me to pull my wolf out after 2 years of safe time
  15. Persistence and determination. I didn't kill a deer the first three years I hunted. The next four I killed 9. I didn't take failure(strictly failure to kill a deer) lightly and wanted to improve.
  16. It would be really hard to enforce a lot of what is being said and suggested here.
  17. I'll say 8 point 8 pointer an 8 any depending on what my mind decides when I say it.
  18. Really if you wanna shoot a big buck don't shoot the small one that comes by first. Hunt for a big buck. If you wanna shoot the spike that comes by shoot it and enjoy the meat and hunt. Should be a hunters decision. There's no ar in a lot of areas that produce some monster bucks. Put in your time to kill a buck of the caliber you are after, don't ruin the enjoyment of thousands of other hunters who fill tags on smaller racked bucks.
  19. Nice there is a chance of me moving out to pa very soon. Congrats
