Yosemite- Felt live I belonged here the instant I arrived. Amazing place, you just feel so small here. Dublin- I have strong connection to Ireland because of my heritage. I love the Irish warm and friendly culture and also love a good pub and a pint. The Irish people are so welcoming and always up for a conversation. I'm always in the process of planning a weekend here. Slovakia- My wife is from here so I have been here a lot back and forth when we were long distance. Much more simple way of life in the small villages here. Many people say it's like how America was in the 50's. I don't know if that's true but it seems like it is. Everything is made from scratch, they get by on very little. People are very old fashioned which is a nice change from here. Always fun to visit and unwind here.

Had a good haul tonight. Again, my wife saw these on the side of the road while walking and we went back later to get them. We found 6 first in another area and then found the rest under this dead (elm?) tree. This was the most we found in one area so far.

People say they do but I've never seen any evidence.

I thought of 3 local high end restaurants that I thought might be interested and messaged them via facebook. 2 replied with interest and I sealed the deal with 1. It was pretty easy.

My wife found all of these on her daily walk between last night and tonight. We went back together to pick some tonight. 1.5 lbs total and I have a text in to the restaurant =)

I'm officially a pro mushroomer. I sold 2.75 lbs of morels to my local restaurant for $120 yesterday, that was the most enjoyable $120 I've ever made! My wife found another 1/2 lb tonight, hoping to get another lb or 2 in the next few days and sell them again. This is addicting!

Went back to same spot tonight after dark and found some more. Today's total haul on the cutting board. Can't believe the year I'm having with morels this year. Hopefully the luck continues into hunting season =)

My wife found a few more today on side of the road while walking. Heaviest morel so far at 5.4oz.

Wasn't purposely looking for morels today but found a bunch. As we were leaving work today, my wife spotted some growing in a grass lawn under some maple trees. Those are the small ones on the seat pic. Later in the day, my wife was on her daily walk and called me and said she found some next to the train tracks. She came home and we took the car down and found 1.5 lbs, some nice big ones.

I'm going to give this area a walk in the next week or two.

Anyone have any luck there this season? I hunted here a ton this season. I saw some deer, a few nice bucks. One pretty sure one got shot about 5 minutes after it left my sight over the hill. Looking forward to hunting there again this year. It's challenging but i enjoy it.

I've learned this year that I don't know much about morels. The ones on the truck bed were found on the side of a steep hill under a dead elm. Other than that, most of the others were found under pine, maple, cedar or in grass on the border of grass/woods. I've put a few miles in every day after work this week checking any ash, elm, apple tree I can find and most were not found under any of those. I think soil composition or soil temp/moisture has most to do with it.

Found morels the last 6 days. This is best year I've had since 2012. Anyone else experiencing similar?

Good season so far, found a bunch of yellows and blacks. I'll update with pics

Any pumped for morels? Seems they started earlier this year, I hear they've started to come up in a few areas in dutchess county. Will go take a peak in the next week or so.

How do you know? I would assume I was killing someone if I knelt on someones neck for 8 minutes.

Thank you. I put out less and less the last few years (none last year) and I've seen more nice bucks that years prior when I was checking cameras every 2 weeks. I think cameras do more harm than good for the most part although trail cams are a lot of fun.

RIP Screech, grew up on this show. That was a quick decline, I just saw the article that he was diagnosed with cancer a week ago. Damn.

I got mine 11 years ago and still haven't gotten around to buying a pistol. I should get on that.

I understand it. Last year I killed 2 bucks and went out late season to hopefully fill a doe tag. On the last day I had two doe run off the hill ride and hung out in front of me eating acorns at 10 yards. I liked watching them just continued to watch for 45 minutes and just didn't feel right shooting them. Not sure why but just wasn't in the mood.
