SB 4739 - Establishes the yearling buck protection program
phade replied to Rebel Darling's topic in Deer Hunting
At least they are consistently inconsistent. AR is almost always associated with heavy/appropriate doe harvest. There's plenty more does than bucks in those overpopulation areas. But we'll leave the science out of making laws, right? -

They omitted the "overpopulation" areas, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Four points a side, too, in many WMUs. Stupid is as stupid does. -

No need for it - education is clearly working. Look at the harvest trends for the past 10 years. -
Not much replaces knowledge obtained via experiences whether glassing scouting etc. That said I have pics or vids of every single buck me and my two hunting partners have killed for the past four years. Plus several other bucks that I've killed dating back as far as 15 years ago. Trail cams are imperfect. No doubt. But what they are, is a tool that is in the woods 24/7. Something we are unable to do - for most normal people with careers families etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You should really be looking at hunting beast and hill country bucks DVD. While no single person has a perfect plan there is a lot to be learned there. Lots of good and great hunters here. But, HB has knowledge that just doesn't exist elsewhere. Look at the buck lineup from its members. Proof in the pudding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They do world class work, but the prices they quoted me are beyond what the guns even have value at, unfortunately. -
Speaking Of Lost, What's The Worst Thing You've Lost?
phade replied to Lawdwaz's topic in General Chit Chat
When my home flooded, I "lost" every single firearm passed down from two families of two generations (my grandmother's father's guns, and my grandfather and his father's guns) - about ~10. I still have them, but the rust and damage is beyond repair on some and beyond a reasonable price for me to consider on the others. One of them dated to the 1880s for production. So, they sit, getting worse, in a gun safe, and I keep a stiff upper lip about it. -

There are tons of suits over the craft brew definition. And digging a little deeper you find out a lot of the craft brew brands most people know, are really owned by the giants...

I bet the jet engines make for great venison slicers.

I have a new 3G model coming my way to test out - it's not a US-based brand reseller, but I believe it'll fill the niche of the "cheap cell" cam that people here want if they can't step up to the Spartan Gocam. I believe I'll be able to program this to work off of AT&T data or MMS packages from my discussions. Blackflash, too. Price probably in the $190-199 range. I'll update when it comes in and how the testing pans out.

Your last paragraph is what I was thinking too when reading this. Not everyone is perfect and I'm not going to act holier than thou but wondering if he, the other hunter thinks not coming back the next day was a poor move and decided to take the action he did - still lame though. Sounds like the guy is a tool and the more he thought about it the more he didn't like the competition. Giving the deer back would be the moral thing to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The show is good to go to every couple of years IMO. I do think the deals/bargains are gone from 5-6 years ago too. It has a lot more to offer but not in the way of buying things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

lol I would have saved all that energy and just used the tripod mount on the bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I personally wouldn't use the recon force for pics, or the spec ops for that matter. Typically if you buy either one, it is for videos. If you just want pics, the Strike Force and Dark Ops are less and fit the bill perfectly. I sold quite a few Brownings this past year and have pretty good terms for 2017 models.
