I have two blackflash ATT Spartan Gocams that were demo cams with less than three weeks of actual use time. The cams will come with a SIM matched to cam and it'll be as if it were a new cam as it'll come with the two year warranty. This is a very rare opportunity - ever notice how rare it is for someone to post a used Gocam for sale? That's because people don't get rid of them. In fact I am close to just keeping them for myself - like I need another cam! I am willing to make a package deal for the pair. Maybe interested in trade for a deer rifle or H&R ultra slug 20g with heavy barrel. Otherwise $270 each firm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wish I had that debate. Sitting at ROC trying to board a flight to FL that's running on hour 7 being delayed. Can't wait to get out Thanksgiving morning. Always a fun hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I saw a FB post about an antlered doe put your way - did a woman help drag/recover it? Said she ruined some fancy jeans lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Liquid Manure? In my experience it creates an invisible funnel as deer try avoid moving on/through it for a couple days to a week or more sometimes.

I think it is the ear position. I keep trying to think of bucks I've seen that are in a full sneak walk and I can only remember older bucks with ears back and younger bucks with ears forward. I'm sure that's not a rule, but I can't for the life of me remember seeing a full sneak big buck with ears forward unless he is stopping walking. For the record, I like full sneaks but prefer they have an extreme turn or a combo of the turn and head down post with ears back.

People tell themselves a lot of stories. I see no exception in this thread to that generality. You hunt long enough, a bad hit will happen. Inferring intent based on a post on an online forum and judging as to the moral/ethical character of that hunter without clearcut words from the poster to go by is telling yourself a story, period. Sometimes people want to share experiences, both successes and learning opportunities, with people who share the same passion and who can at the very least, understand what that hunter is going through. I'm not saying there aren't some moronic threads on this topic, but the law of averages dictate there will be some bad eggs mixed in the bunch, but the majority mean well. Let's not rush to judgment. You can own a mistake - but it doesn't mean you need to flog yourself and cannot share the experience with others. When I make a bad shot (I have), I tell my hunting partners and we do what we need to do to exhaust the search. When it doesn't work in my favor, I'm not happy, but I certainly prefer to talk about it to my hunting partners. They offer insight, things to consider that I may not have, and I have takeaways from that interaction. There is a reason why there is truth in the "you learn more from your losses than you do your victories" in sports. This applies to hunting, too. People who may post online might not have a hunting partner and may be looking for factors they should have considered that they might not have. Who knows.

3.5 is my guess but that angle is a challenge. Depending on when pic was taken, there is some swelling but the full neck doesn't roll into a barrel chest of a 4 year old +. Body still seems long, but again that could be solely due to angle. No tarsal staining apparent. The back line in both pics is pretty straight. Not much in the pic makes me think 4+ but a lot of that could change with the pic angle.

Bingo. 100% on the money.

Wind doesn't mean deer won't move; it is just another factor into where and when you will find the deer. This bow season probably had the highest avg wind speed I think I've ever experienced in a bow season. A few times I thought I was crazy to be sitting in it for safety reasons. We only have a few areas where we have bottoms that will shelter the heavier wind and the stands there are much safer as the wind is nowhere near the top level speed hitting the taller trees up high. There isn't a number, as it is more adjusting your tactics IMO. Even being on the ground provides some options - standing corn, spot and stalk, even with bow.

Got a few visitors in the woods today (friends and family). Trying to see if we can get them a deer. Seen some decent action this week so far. A couple mornings where it was exactly what hunters like to see. Bucks nose to ground, does scrambling, deer in general disregarding the safeties they otherwise normally would not give up, etc. Hoping we match the right stands this morning. Some of our best stands are within eyesight of roads. Let the terrain and land use dictate where when and why you hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hitting up a spot for the first time this season with moog. Just checking out what's moving there. Have a pair of cams that have been there since Sept. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Sure sounds like a buck bed. You'd need to look at what the buck can see hear and smell from that spot. It might give you a clue as to what winds he might use it on or possibly when he might use it. This spot here has had a few more bucks bed there. Again they only use it when the does start coming into estrous. They won't bother with it any other time of the year. Should be a decent couple weeks coming up - not a ton of high temp variations and more NW and W winds that usually in wNY. The 7/8/9th are looking really good with pressure falling in the day on the 8th and some rain witht he backside of that front leaving the 9th. Temp drops about 10 degrees in three hours in the prime time in the evening. Things can change, but those two days are looking primo. The 7th is a high pressure blue bird day.

Ha - that is very funny.

Usually I'm texting Moog in reply to him about "do you think I should move?" or "I think I'm going to move, but I don't know." "Maybe there's a deer over there." "I think they'll come from another direction." Usually that's like 8:30 a.m LOL. Then usually the "I'm out of coffee" text arrives at 9 and it de-evolves from there. This year just keeping one buddy in the stand will be enough to keep me busy!

You don't want to put a hand warmer in the pocket where your phone is. Heat reduces battery lifespan both on that charge and long-term.

What happened to the Xbow inclusion thread?

Look if you're that incapable, it's pretty clear posting will do nothing to alleviate your head being stuck where the sun doesn't shine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
