  1. $60 shipped or $55 each of you buy two or more. I have 5 of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Unsubstantiated but initial reports have it in Chautauqua. It’s all over the FB. Rumor at this point but supposedly Cornell test was positive. Could be bunk but seeing it from some credible people historically. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Wore out. Today and tomorrow is it for me. Bucks likely to win. First time since 2004. Get to stare at pics of a target buck breeding a doe 8 hours earlier from the spot I’ve been in this AM. Ah well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Been on work vacation starting Nov 3. Been in the tree 84 of 90 hours of legal sun since then. More counting time waiting for light. Two more days. Trying season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Pulled a cam on way out. Set over a rub on field edge. Expected night shots and got one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I take it back. Doe ran across a 350 yard cut corn field. No shot but entertaining. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I was rocking this am lol. Pm a little better. Dry at least. Not a deer seen from stand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Made same mistake twice this season. Usually I learn quick. Bumped does on entry. Gonna be a long sit I suspect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Good luck! Looks like rain will hit right at or after light. Totally looking forward to it. Lol. Next few days will be tough but wow the weather is gonna cool down heading into weekend. Might have snow for my last day or two of time off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hunter partners are done with their already-filled buck tag spa visit so back to work for them. Windy and not as cold as it would typically be with the wind speeds. Heading to a property we have only hunted a time or two this season. A stand I’ve been in maybe 8 times over past 4 years and have had three encounters with 3+ yo. Rather boring stand location but looking to catch a buck popping over to a known for bedding area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Two doe a B.B. and a fawn. Coworker had action up the road and his partner shot s nice 8 with junk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Today’s the day. Best weather in a while and for a while. Let’s make it happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The elbow is so bad that I can't even see the other stuff. It's that bad.
  14. The Answer really wasn't one of Elite's better bows IMO. I shot quite a few of them and couldn't say I ever shot one I enjoyed. The Z28/Hunter/Synergy line-up to me was the most hunter friendly line made. The newer Elites seem to follow in that line, and they're putting out new models now for ATA. I used to get new bows every year or every other year until I started shooting Elite in 2009 or so. Since then just the Z and the Synergy. About the only thing I could ever want to look into at this point is a shorter ATA model simply for portability, but even then, I doubt I'd be willing to give up the "shootability." I don't knock you for wanting to move on from the Answer. It never really resolved any questions for me, anyway. Hope you find something you enjoy!!!
  15. Market penetration on cell cams is likely to be 1-2% or less right now. Long way to go toward major impact. Wet springs have a direct correlation to larger antler growth. I forget where that data lies, but it's been proven in quite a few scholastic studies.
  16. Straps cause a lot of cams to be stolen. Screw in mounts when at all possible. You can drive down the cost when buying in bulk quite a bit.
  17. Sometimes experience is the best teacher. Don't get too beat up on it. Back in the saddle for you.
  18. His trail cam pics of that buck all summer had another buck in it that was shot by his hunting partner. Think it went 160-170".....two hunters kills 370" of antler with two bucks...
  19. Just a point of clarity - if you have an arrow in her already. Any chance to put another in her, you should take it. If her back was to you and visible despite not vitals open - shoot. Rules of engagement go out the window with an already hit deer IMO. You want to cause more blood loss. It may not have been based on what you said but if her back was to you and open, dial up the shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. If you hit shoulder you should be pushing. You want to push to not let her lay and clot so you lose trail and because you want to Force more internal damage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I've held a phone conference or two from the treestand, but dang man...a laptop is pretty hardcore.
  22. Pav, that pretty much sums it up. I'll be in a tree for most all of my time off for hunting from Nov 3-13. Was very close to making it happen - had two stand choices and chose the wrong one Sunday PM. Moog just loves telling me what I am missing - I've had a few years in the reverse, so I'm definitely getting caught up this year, lol. The three of us (including our buddy) are fortunate to have opportunities to pursue some nice deer that make us "look" like we know what we're doing. A lot of it just boils down to hard work/dedication. I tend to bring the patience. Moog tends to bring the brute force method, and our third buddy is quite simply a darn monkey in the trees. Across all three we tend to cover each's others' areas of opportunity. Mutual success/failure. Just as happy when they score a buck as when I do. And if you wear mismatching camo patterns...whooooooo boy, watch out!
