i have a mathews chill r 70lb and i believe 29in draw would have to confirm that. with HHA DS 5019 , QAD HDX ultra rest (maybe mathews ). it would need strings and cables soon. its in great condition and loved it. however this year i switched to a left handed bow as im rt. handed left eye dominant. asking 600. I also have older Hoyt maxxis 31 rt hand 60lb limbs (i think would need to confirm) also has a quiver (i forget which one) and 28.5 draw(again i think and would need to confirm), i would also recommend strings and cables but otherwise in great shape. it basically bare bow other and the quiver and is also in great shape and asking $200. im not too far and could meet half way or something. both were well cared for and tuned yearly at Flying arrow in carmel ny.

Just for clarity i have read both of what you have posted. In my interpretation you can use your regular season tag during late season but in order to do so you would have to also have purchased the bow/muzzle season privilege. is that correct?
-
im not doubting you guys and have been trying to find that online. if anyone is better versed in the online regs and where this information is found could you post a link
-
is this new? i have never heard this before.
-
wow? not to diminish a ridiculously awesome buck but what do you all think of that weight? 265 dressed is HUGE. but im not an expert and not very familiar with weights other then reading that any buck in the 200 is a huge buck for ny.
-
i have seen it on several 1.5s too
-
are you sure we are hunting the same species as they are? damn never mind the racks some the bodies on them is ridiculous.
-
no, they dont . they show hunting is already pretty safe. It is alright to admit that Ar's could make things safer and still be against AR's.
-
im not disputing that hunting isnt currently safe. The point i am making is AR's could make it safer by forcing people to take a second to think, instead of impulsively reacting to "antler".
-
where . please quote where i said it was a proven stat. Even you cant not deny forcing someone to slow down and clearly identify their target wouldn't improve safety. it is self evident.
-
thats everyones go to as if that proves an argument. Are the even studies on the subject? Can you really refute this? it is common sense.
-
i just cant understand the objection. first off the safety aspect of the practice alone is enough of a reason to implement it. It forces people to slow down and know what they are shooting. But 2ndly after two years the entire age structure of the population has increased. so all those 1.5 spike you see are now more then likely shooters. people are afraid since they dont see mature deer now that the would continue to be the case. this just isn't true. now instead of seeing lots of 1.5 youll see l of 2.5 and 3.5 in the place.

Why it’s high time to make peace with crossbow hunting
brownclown replied to tughillmcd's topic in CrossBow Hunting
No the difference is caring about what people think of you. I could care less about what you think of me. That's the pathetic part. Obviously people will always have opinions and judge what others do. -
youre posting images like this and complaining about a gut pile. The irony kills me

Why it’s high time to make peace with crossbow hunting

i have explained my position on here numerous times and don't want to go down this road AGAIN. But simply on private land do as you please. disabled or "old" do as you please. The seasons are good how they are, the myth of being excluded is just that a MYTH -

bunch of propaganda crap. The "backlash" waa nobody wants to play with me anymore. What kind of grown ass man cares what others think in his choice of hunting implements. Pathetic -

savage 220. shotgun only. still hoping to get to westchester too with the bow while everyone else is out with the smoke poles. -
i agree with fletch. there is no way i could be at work if i had those in my back yard.
-
i use vortex diamond backs 10x28. i love them. i only hunt hard woods and have never found the need for higher. if i had longer ranges i believe 10X42 for be better.
-
finally. now you all can quit your crying about being excluded. (kidding/trolling). seriously, good luck all.

thanks gonna have to read and research this more. i was under the impression the chances of survival with one lung were much higher. and you need to give them at least 6 hours before tracking. most people wont/dont and end up pushing the deer and never recover.
-
im in agreement with others on the 115 . just to be different 117. i have never weighed a deer so cant help you there. im interested and will be trying the measure chest area technique to get an idea for future kills.
-
im with you for the most part and feel chancing a heart shot and potential single lung is not a shot most should take in most circumstances. from 20 ft up i don't like taking any shot less then 20yrds. im sur e most dont practice these senerios and there was even a recent discussion of what pin to use in these situations. There were lots of conflicting opinions too. I was under the belief that a single lung is one of the worst shots you can possibly make as it is definitely survivable. why do you "it isnt horrible"?

thanks. ill try that. i usually like weather underground bc it has local sations to see but still find it inaccurate at times....i relate on the wind. i have asked many times does north wind mean coming from or blowing that way.
