i went on a charter out of rochester called dream catcher charter wow what an expeirence i have fished florida north carolina mass. as well long island we traveled from queens and was not dissapointed hardest working capt i've ever been with . we trolled and caught salmon rainbow trout the 4 of us all caught fish you'll have fun be prepared with meds for sea sickness[ i like the patch behind the ear] and foul weather gear and warm clothes you can always take it off if it gets warm bring a small cooler w/ some food and drinks check w/ the capt about alcohol some dont allow it and no bananas

thats a hacklehead thats what we call them in the city and long island

pb&j sandwiches, apple, candy, thermos of tea magazines or a book i have a shoulder sack to carry my stuff knife buttout tool scents drag line i stay on the stand all day it gets boring after two hrs looking at the same trees so the book or hunting and fishing magazines help to stay alert

i would advise to go to a pro shop and get him fitted with a bow that he'll grow with and have the arrows fitted for him you can buy the acc online although im sure they have ready to shoot packages . some great suggestions on the post as far as models and brands .

very good they a full mount lion and a lot of fishing stuff talked to the guys from northwoods law about a woman on the show that was hiking the applacin trail and was missing on the show they never said if they found her so i asked and they told me she had passed away they found her in the fall

anyone having a problem with the web site it freezes then i get ablue screen and it says oops something happen then goes back to the site and it works fine

anyone going to the rockland show i'll be there tomarrow i always go . i wanted to go to the hamburg show but i was on cruise for my 35 anniverary i went 2 yrs ago i was amazed at the size of the show

i bought a samick sage recurve w/ 60lbs limbs wow i could pull it back but my bow arm would after 4 or 5 shots push back and i would fight the bow to keep it a@ full draw so i bought 50 lbs limbs and i could shoot all day without getting fatigued i havent hunted with the bow yet but im confident within 20 yds w/ rage broadheads it'll do the job

i love my samik sage i orginally bought the package from three rivers archery the acc. that came with the bow suck so was the string i replaced it also i bought the 60 lbs limb intent on hunting but you cant practice with the heavy limbsyour fighting to anchor so i bought the 50 lbs limbs and practice with them .

i have an issue with the rage broadheads i bought they dont stay in the locked position even when the arrows knocked also i bought the replacement blades $22 what a waste of money they are impossible to get the old ones out and put the new ones in have yet to shoot a deer with them so cant comment on how they preform

i know i figured i'd try and see if any courses are still avalible

hi everyone i have a 17 yrs old nephew who wants to hunt i looked on line for a list of courses all the info i got was the online course does any of you guys know a list of courses on long island? he not that pactient for online course i would rather him go to a traditional course

im kicking myself i had a shot 11/28 @9:45 two does come out the second one stopped i put the crosshairs on her and didnt pull the trigger why i dont know why i had a doe tag for 4r ididnt feel comfortable wouldnt you know thats all iseen sat the weekend in friggin treestand only saw a flock of turkeys when the oppitunity arises you take it im so discourged im thinking of not going up this weekend

maybe they mean staten island or long island but not upstate

i hunt 4r i got a doe tag too im invited up to hunt by a friend when i got the doe tag the guy behind the counter told me to play lotto that was lucky to get one i usully hunt 4w but they had no tags . iwas up saturday 9:45 two does come out im in a tree stand igo to aim i couldnt get the sight on her like i wanted to and didnt shoot im still kicking myself for leting her go .

where do you normally hunt you can swap the doe tag on here for another the other option you have is to go on the state land interactive mapping theres a link to it on here and find some state land

in brooklyn canarsie pier they jig them with sabiki rigs ilike them pickled they are great smoked too

the spine from a spiney dog fish [sand shark] when i go codfihing the mates save them and use them as a sharks tooth
