tonite i made venison peppersteak for dinner it was outragous very tender i marinated the meat in chinese wine soy sauce corn starch and something igot off the internet a little bit of baking soda [1/2 teaspoon for 2lbs of meat] they said that the baking soda tenderizes the meAT wow i marinated over nite it really tenderize the meat like a chinese restaurant the process they use is called velveting i tried it wasnt that tender i marinated the meat 36 hrs it wasnt that tender good but chewy but the baking soda seemed to work ive made venison and broccholi and venison stirfrys im using up the last of the venison in the freezer

i have set my personal range @30 yds i can hit a bullseye @40yds but my bow is set @ 56lbs [the max is 60] so i can effectively kill a deer within 30 yds i wouldnt chance on an iffy shot i shoot rage broadheads im not confident on a pass through or at lest decent penitration @ longer ranges

i agree the gun shop offered me a weaver or bushnell scope went w/ the bushnell it was$ 249 the weaver was 175 much better quality w/ the bushnell the gun i have is a 30-30 and not thatyoung but i know i wantedsomething better than plain old 4 power i hunted with before i hunt in woods and 50 yds is a long shot but last year i missed a doe @96 yds on my friends property in green cty which is all fields but i can be confident that i can hit something under 100yds
