  1. Well showing the good and the bad. Feel good about the adjustments i made though.
  2. Stretching out to 400 yards today. First 4 shots, adusting down two clicks trying a good 5 shot group. First time at 400 yards with this setup. Happy so far.
  3. My buddy got a new one last year, levled it, rims, and tires. Same regular cab short bed 4x4. Just got the 5star tuner over the weekend. The 5.0l is a fantastic motor.
  4. Lost my grandfather this week. He was a huge part of my life and will be greatly missed. I grew up camping and hunting birds and chipmunks in his woods. Fished in his pond for as long as i can remember. He was always smiling and had a great smart ass remark for anyone. My son grew very close to him also and it hit him pretty hard too. So we went for a long walk in our woods today to just talk and enjoy the woods. He was toting his ithaca single shot .22, and i had my ruger mkIII .22. We had games of who could hit the tiny tree. His growing up to be a great shot, im still better but he can definitely hold his own.
  5. Lol, the memes for 6.5 creedmoor are endless. Someday i may own one...Maybe.
  6. I had shingles in 2017, i was 34 years old. Not sure if it was because i am young but it wasnt bad at all. However my father had it last year and i guess it was horrible.
  7. Going with 3.5, i used a mouth call last year and killed a tom so he must have been REALLY desprate for a lady friend.
  8. I have had great success with this stuff. Planted 2 years ago, goin to throw some more down this year to keep weeds down. Deer are always feeding in this plot. Putting another plot of this further in my woods this year.
  9. I would try it if someone else prepared it. Not sure i could skin the stinky bastid and then eat it.
  10. I was going off a interview he did, and answered that question personally. Yes it was towards high end barrels but i believe theirs opinions on this matter that can go on forever.
  11. According to John Krieger, a premium barrel maker their isnt any reccomend break in procedure. This guy produces some of the most accurate barrels made. Shoot, clean and enjoy.
  12. Ive been told i clean my guns too much. I clean after everytime i shoot. Maybe just run a wet patch followed by some dry patches. But then i read about people not cleaning until accuracy is affected. As far as break in goes u can read a million differant recommendations. Id love to shoot it more but a dollar a shot keeps me at about 20 rounds a session.
  13. By break in do u mean shoot about 20 rounds, clean it and so on for the last 80 rounds...then yes, if mean some other method than no...lol.
  14. We didnt start till 11, tried this new spot. Shows promise, we need to get out during daylight so we can get a better idea were to setup.
  15. Went out last night at a property in bennington a buddy has permission to hunt. Second set had eyes show up probably 300 yards away. But they wouldnt come closer and disappeared in the woods. Ive never seen so many coyote tracks in my life, walking from one field to another there was just as many yote tracks as deer. Cold night, much colder then i anticipated, my toes were frozen by 2am.
  16. Nice sunny day to shoot. I now have 80 rounds through the barrel. 20 rounds with the new scope. Gotta do better at 300. First pic was at 200. Im outta targets, wondering if ill find any at the outdoor show for cheap tomorrow.
  17. I dont think they ever really stop gobbling. Ive had a group of turkeys hanging out in my woods all winter. They come out into the field and strut and gobble, i think right now its more showing dominance among other toms and jakes. But im am far from a turkey expert.
  18. Daughter has a gymnastics meet in watertown that day. Otherwise i would have definitely gone.
  19. The "big" ones usually get shot before they get put in the boat.
  20. My father has one. Got it to take to Alaska for large halibut. He likes it, no complaints.
