  1. If by some miracle I find a turkey stupid enough to believe I'm a hen and gets close enough that I shoot it, I will definitely save the wings for you.
  2. Nothin talkin near me, back inside to get the kids ready for school, then may go out again.
  3. Didn't roost them they were in my field, no good way to get close enough without spooking them. But figure they have to b within 100 yards of the field by the time they left it. I only have a mouth call, I can yelp and cluck good. I have a cheap Jake and hen decoy also. I'm going setup near the edge of the field tomorrow morning and hope they come out in the s as me area again.
  4. I'm a very novice turkey hunter, had 3 gobbling at me this morning. Got within 80ish yards, only saw one. Well now I had a flock of 5 jakes maybe 1 tom, and looked like 1 or 2 hens in my cornfield. Question is if they are out there now how soon to roost? Hoping they will be close in the a.m.
  5. I tried and failed... I'll give them a break for the rest of the day. Maybe tomorrow.
  6. Giving the kids their Cereal and look out into my field and there's the flock, walking out in the corner I was set up in this morning...maybe tomorrow.
  7. Had 2 or 3 gobbling 80-100 yards away, clearly I didn't sound sexy enough they moved off to I believe my neighbors field. I'll head back out after I get the kids on the bus at 8. Goodluck all
  8. I'll be heading after the kids get on the bus, maybe before if the turkeys get into my field in the a.m. again. Just had surgery on my wrist a little over a week ago, hope it handles the kick ok if I get the opportunity.
  9. If I had a trailer I was comfortable towing this thing around in I'd help ya out. The little one in the pic is my dad's and this is maxing it out.
  10. Had the loader on, tried to assist in getting out, issue was the deck. I was stuck on a muddy incline. Deck got hung up a little and tires started to dig in the mud and I wasn't goin anywhere.
  11. I carry a g26 iwb more than any other pistol I have. Comfy and doesn't print.
  12. Too scary for me not having anything covering the trigger. I use a Sticky holster for my S&W bodyguard 380. No belt clicp, the material "sticks" to your pants. Very happy with it for the last 8 months I've used it.
  13. I looked at the gc series tractors, I liked the layout of the deere and the quick attach deck and loader. I'm not biased to any brand.
  14. Thanks moog, put 1hr on it and got it stuck already. Had to pull it out with my truck.
  15. And foodplot making machine! Had a 2004 kubota bx1500, it struggled with my 4ft disc. I confident that this 1025r will handle it much better! Can't wait to try it out. And yes I know this was a little much for the trailer, but only had to go 15 min down the road.
  16. Moog feel free to post pics, I believe we all enjoy pics of great bucks.
  17. He had a wall pedestal buck in his shop, I am definitely doing that next.
  18. Yep, running outta wall space so next logical spot ya know...
  19. Got my rifle buck mount back yesterday, very happy with the work. Not sure if I'm thrilled with the pose I picked, I would've liked more shoulder. O well just have to get another one this year I guess!
  20. Congrats to u guys! Can't wait for my kids to be old enough to enjoy such a moment.
  21. Only issue with a gm 2500, if it's not a diesel than ur choice is the 6.0l which is a very outdated engine, on top of that it's only offered with 4.10 gears. So If that were to be your daily driver expect 12mpg. If going with a ram 2500 I'd opt for the 6.4l v8 over the 5.7. Heavy truck needs the bigger motor. And the ford with the 6.2 in the 250 is a good combo. Most people do not need a 3/4 ton truck, I tow a 6k lb travel trailer just fine with a 1/2 ton. Most people use a truck to haul 2x4, or maybe a quad. Get a 1/2 ton and save gas
  22. I don't have prime turkey woods but I have a flock or two that has been coming out to my field atleast once a week. I'm 3 min from the pembroke exit off the 90. Not sure if that's too far.
