  1. Bought my son a diamond atomic bow. He got a older Ithaca single shot .22 from grandpa and grandma. My daughter got her first .22 from them, a t/c hot shot, in pink camo.
  2. Dicks gift cards from mil, wife is paying for my gun buck to get mounted very happy for that. And more to come from my parents house later.
  3. The 3 point hitch on my tractor was used for the plow. My tractor had just enough umphh to use it. I may be looking to upgrade this year to a larger sub compact tractor. I don't know of any plow attachments for a utv or a skidder...
  4. I put in a acre foodplot with a 15 hp kubota sub compact tractor. 4' brush hog, 4' disc. I bought a 26 gallon sprayer for the back of my atv. I use a pull behind seeder behind the quad. I did this in very similar conditions to u. Overgrown old farm field. I also bought a single bottom plow to turn the soil when I first started. With the equipment u have have u will have no problem doing ur plot. I know they have tiller attachments for skidsteers, not sure where to rent one however.
  5. This is ridiculous, Uptown if u think times where better when u could walk around with a gun or drive around when blitzed, do us all a favor and get sh#t faced and start playing with a loaded gun in your house by yourself. Have fun with it. Hopefully if someone sees u and calls the cops, it's a "old school" thinker that u like and they let u keep playing.
  6. Same to u Cynthia and everyone else here, Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year!
  7. I did my 8 years as a marine infantry reservist, I spent 2005 in iraq. With or without what the gov't wants to label people doesn't make a difference to me. I'm interested in what others think though, there's nothing to gain that I know of just because the gov't now says your a vetran. However after 20 years of being in the reserves you can collect a pension I believe. So I'd bet the wording has more to do with that than making reservists or tampons (that's what active duty guys liked to call us) happy.
  8. My archery doe and buck where in woods/ swamp. My gun buck was in my corn field. Still the only deer I've seen in the field during daylight.
  9. Sitting in my pop up blind with my 7 yr old son, when a doe and fawn came out. The look on his face was priceless. Also same blind with my 5 yr old daughter, no deer but she fell asleep on me and it was just a good memory of the first time taking her out.
  10. I have a diamond triumph I could sell ya. Toxonics site and QAD drop away rest. Winners choice strings and cables with less than 200 shots on them. 60-70lb draw.
  11. Broke 1 arrow that was shot at a turkey, the arrow I used to kill my 2 archery deer is good. I have to find my 1 casing from my gun buck, that should b on the floor of the shootin shack.
  12. Started dropping some trees today for a new foodplot. Waiting till after Christmas then picking up a yote call, and I'll b taking the kids out for squirrels on any warmer weekends we get.
  13. I've taken my quad thru my woods twice so far to pack trails for them. I'll keep doin it till I get stuck.
  14. I don't want this thread to get to far from the op. So I'll just say it's the sh#t employees doing a sh#tty job, that's why they get payed sh#tty. not to mention if u take one of these sh#tty jobs, u know what the pay is, therefore by excepting the job it's on u to earn that money by doing a good job.
  15. Considering the job they are doing involves no major skills, one would expect their pay to reflect that.
  16. I'm all for leupold. For $300 u could probably get a used vx-3 on ebay. I have a vx-3 3.5-10 x40, it's a fantastic scope. I also have vx2 3-9x40, m8 4x, and a m8 2.5. All great scopes, backed by a great warranty.
  17. So sorry for your loss. My father has said the same to me, if he ever feels it's his time he just wants my brother and I to leave him in the woods until it's his time. As hard as it is to think of this, u have it right. He couldn't have asked for a better way to go. Everytime u go into the woods he will be with you. Sorry again.
  18. I asked because I saw that site and couldn't believe the buck would've weighed 150 live weight. I guess it's time I just buy a hanging scale.
  19. Just picked up my meat and cape from my buck. The box of meat weighed 72.8lbs. Any way to guess live weight based off that?
