  1. Looks like rain likely wed, thur, fri. Plan on planting big n beasty tomorrow.
  2. Selling my old bow. Diamond Triumph 60-70lb draw wieght Draw lenghth is 29" i believe. Is adjustable. 1 season of shooting on winners choice strings and cables. Toxonics sight, tried taking it off to put on my sons bow but allen head screws stripped. No rest. Looking for $150, preferably would like local pickup/drop off.
  3. After dinner shooting some more. 7 yards and he pulls this group off.
  4. I've had a 2013 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. Good gas millage around town, ok towing more than just a quad or two. I now have a 2017 GMC with the 6.2l v8. I'm getting the same if not better mpgs around town as the Ford. 20 mpg around town, 12mpg towing a little over 6k lb 32' camper. A lot has to do with the GMC having a 8 speed transmission. I know the Ford's will be coming with a 10 speed now. I'm sure you will be happy either way.
  5. Just got his peep sight put on his diamond from Christmas. Came home and right out to shoot. Doin A lot of fishing this year too, love havin a little man to mentor.
  6. Tool, rage against the machine, metallica (not the new stuff), breaking Benjamin. Some slip knot. Pantera. A good bunch of 90's country... Thank God for Sirius xm radio.
  7. We have sandy soil here, im guessing ill need alot of clay. My high end guess was $10k, but looks like $6-8k is more inline. Thanks guys.
  8. I may b in, don't have a lot to loose but always trying to stay in shape. Gotta keep up with a 6 & 8 yr old. Doin the tough mudder on August 5, 2nd time doing it. If u don't mind spending the cash it's a great time.
  9. We have a guy, kinda made friends with the guy that did our excavating at our previous house that we had built. He has dug ponds before. $3500, did u have to have clay trucked in?
  10. Wife and I are thinking of getting a pond dug in our back yard. Probably 1/3 to 1/2 acre in size. 10'-12' deep. Wondering if anyone has had one done lately to get an idea on cost. I know different soils different materials needed, just looking for a roundabout number to start savi g for. Thanks
  11. That first video, 2nd buck, awesome brow tines on that guy.
  12. Forgot, in another pic u can see he has a split brow to be on the right side.
  13. Had to take a pic of a pic. But best I have seen so far. Of course it loads side ways too...
  14. Disc'd a few times, sprayed it yesterday. Planting frigid forage Big n Beasty in the next week or two, whenever we get a good rain forecast. Also have a clover and chicory plot that's doin good. Farmer didn't plant my 12 acre field this year so we will see what this year brings.
  15. Started at 14yrs old because that was the earliest way to start deer hunting. Now it's the best because deer are calm and not spooked. And I hunt private land, can't imagine on state land.
  16. Also that place won't be selling grass carp till the end of the summer. They said they want to make sure the pond water is cool enough. At least that's what they told my grandparents.
  17. Not to re rail the op question but I'm thinking of getting the covert pro, how to you like it. I have a apex 5 pin now and want less "clutter".
  18. While in the keys this year we got to see their green iguana problem. Also they are not protected however under florida law they can not be hunted, only trapped and killed humanely under the law... I'm assuming same goes for the monkeys. I guess a shot from a 12ga isn't humane enough.
  19. One of the last fish caught on our keys vacation. Back home now...will be down on Chautauqua in a few days so more pics to come.
  20. We just came back from a restraunt that cooked our yellowtail snapper. It was phenomenal. The grunts are good eating. I let the big eye go (the red one) because I had no idea what it was. Turns out it was a keeper and are supposed to b very good eating. We have caught 4 different species of shark this trip, firsts for all of us. Most likely just doing shore fishing the rest of our time here.
  21. Not a vermilion, it's a big eye...the dorsal and anal fin give it away. It took sometime for me to find it.
  22. We got a bunch of yellow tail snapper, grunts and that red guy in the pick, not sure what he was. Also my son got a nice lemon shark to cap off the day.
