  1. Speaking of caribou, I don't have a "ttophy" room, I have stuff through out the house. This is in my son's room. Also my 2nd deer I ever shot. I shot it the day after my first deer ever, a button buck. The next morning this guy.
  2. Yes it is, shot a bunch of the flying snowballs during a couple winter caribou hunts
  3. Just ordered this one, with a walnut finish.
  4. Newest addition just picked it up, shopping for a plaque now.
  5. All I got so far, goin to pick up my skull from my buck this year today. Also someday I'll figure out hot to rotate pics
  6. I own 46 acres in 8g, 3 of wich is my lawn, and 12 of it is farm field. My parents own 13 acres in rushford with access to 40 more acres.
  7. I'll be hoping my dad or brother in law get a shot him, I'll be lookin for turkeys until gun opener.
  8. Weird seein one cruising at 1230 these days. Possibly lookin for does.
  9. I'll state this just speaking for myself. I hunt to provide food for my family first, then if a good buck in my book comes by I'll happily take him. I'll be the first to congratulate anyone on any deer kill especially during bow season. I'm not a fan of pushing my thoughts on other hunters, shoot what u want, if u have a tag for it. I'm trying to let deer in my property get bigger but I only own 43 acres of huntable land. Deer can and will be shot by others walking off my land. Get off your high horse and be happy that fellow hunters are being successful out there.
  10. Scrapes getting more activity, more bucks cruising through my food plot checking does. Before both those pics I had pics of a couple does in the plot.
  11. Chalk 1 up for evercalm, just had a doe down wind of me 40 yards walking my path never cared.
  12. Out with the turkey gun, just had a nice 6 point walk through. No turkeys yet.
  13. Son went back early now my daughters snoring away on my lap. Keepin me warm.
  14. Full house in the ground blind, I'm hoping a turkey walks through, kids are hoping I fill my dmp tag.
  15. Beautiful gun, I'm looking for one. Only if it was a lefty. Goodluck, that's a GREAT price.
  16. 8g, new scrapes and a few rubs...to bad I have to wait for gun to shoot a buck now.
  17. My parents have done newfoundland twice. They drove up. Beautiful up there too. Pretty reasonable for a moose hunt too.
  18. We would always go around thanksgiving. Lowest Temps I got to enjoy were -40* at night. It was a long drive, but I'd do it again if the herd #'s get back up. Only place I've gotten to see wolves in the wild, lynx, snow shoe hare, Ptarmigan, and spruce grouse.
  19. For the price we paid, we were able to shoot 2 caribou. Also throw in a small game license and we shot Ptarmigan. I was very cold but it's worth it to see the herds and the sub arctic tundra. Wild place to go. Now u got me thinkin I need to go back.
  20. That's because u are looking at fall hunts, the winter hunts most of the really big bulls dropped their racks already. We shot decent caribou, no monsters but good eating. I looked the other day I believe the winter hunts are still around $2500
  21. I did a couple winter caribou hunts in Quebec when the herd had good numbers, that ran around $1800 i believe. Thinkin about trying a DIY elk hunt in Colorado one of these years, that should stay around $2000 with gas and everything I think. For now that's about the max for me.
  22. Cutting up my buck from Saturday. I'm very impressed with the durability of these NAP killzones. The head hit the ridge of the shoulder then passed through the shoulder blade. Through one lung and into the heart. The deer was only 5 yards away making for a steep angle shot. No deflection off the bone, no bent blade, just cut through.
  23. It could work I'd try it, but odds are it's going to take the real thing to bring him to you. If he's frequenting the plot he'll be scent checking does when they are coming into heat. So stick with that area.
  24. Hope for a hot doe to bring him out, and hope ur in the area when it happens.
