Already had 2 unknowns come in when still dark. Just had a doe and fawn and a small buck come by. Evercalm helped out, the doe was 20 yards down wind, she stopped and sniffed the air. She turned and walked the other way around me. Never spooked but new something was up. They all just walked away calmly. -

As long as the wind is good I would put a stand up overlooking the field.

Checked cams today got this guy yesterday morning. Also walked around a little and found to fresh big rubs on hemlocks. Rub through the bark to smooth tree underneath. Never seen that before in my woods. Moved a cam there to see if I can get a look at the culprit.

I put 2 up this year on my hang on stands. Definitely makes u more comfortable moving from stand to pegs or vice versa.

I just sighted in my 870 with slugs yesterday, I will say I would never want to shoot a box of shells at ducks with that thing. Maybe I'm a wussie I guess. I would definitely check out a used gun rack for a semi auto.

A 12 gauge will better suit ur waterfowl hunting desire, but will kick more. Especially if u get some heavy waterfowl rounds in a 870. I would highly recommend a semiautomatic due to less recoil.

Mix bag in 8g, nothing moving in my foodplot lately but at the back of my property that gets thick and swampy saw a 4 pt chasing a group of 2 doe with fawns. Got a pic of a nice buck today that looks rutted up at 720 am. Then got pics of does running by the camera about it 20 minutes later.

He was was thinking... this here offroad buggy is 4x4 it can go through that slop! Then he finds out his all season tires suck other than on pavement and that when they say 4 wheel drive it really means 1 back tire and 1 front tire...
